Because if the show reaches EoZ, the tension and stakes can be increased, because now characters can risk dying and being wished back by the dragon balls, unlike now, where characters can... well..

When was the most recent poll? A poll held right after the Goku Black arc might not reflect the same opinions after the arc has aged a few years. I think it's unlikely Goku Black has that much lasting popularity that Toriyama would decide to bring him back since he wasn't referenced at all after his arc ended (aside from one comment from the U10 GoD in the manga). Freeza was likely the most popular villain in the original and referenced in some way in every arc between Namek and RoF.

Nope, the last poll took place in 2018, 2 years after the Goku Black arc was already over (Goku Black arc ended in November 2016).

So you can't use "character was still fresh!!" excuse as an argument because the character had been dead for two years already.

Great to hear we'll finally be getting more Super, and while I'd love a continuation of the anime I'm open to just having movies for the foreseeable future if they will retain the quality of Broly.

I don't see this being an adaptation of the Moro arc, it would seem pointless for the manga to be dragged out as long as it was because a movie wouldn't do that story arc justice.

I wouldn't be surprised if they rebooted another old movie villain like Cooler, especially with Freeza still hanging about there could definitely be some potential there to have a story utilizing both. Though I'd love to see more of the new Broly, so hopefully he will have a big role to play in the movie.

For better or for worse, I could also totally see Super Saiyan Purple becoming a thing.

If this movie is after the Granollah arc, is very likely to happen. A new trasformation for Vegeta is a possibility (in this arc as well).
Let's hope for a teaser trailer and a poster/something like that.

I'd prefer if it were an adaptation of the Moro arc. It avoids even more complication with the different continuities and time-line jumps for the more casual fans. A straightforward adaptation of the Moro arc would be ideal but I'm open to anything. Perhaps it's a new story set in the past, who knows? I'd kill for something based on the pre-Z days.

Yes, you're right, that could be an old character. If Toriyama said that, it means we won't have a character reveal tomorrow. Maybe just a teaser trailer with some new images.


About the next projects, i was thinking about the next arcs.
Imagine if the next movie is officially after the Granollah arc. Then, we'll probably get 2 new stories in a short time period.

- New movie the 28th of april 2022
- New arc, may 2022

The way that message is worded suggests the unexpected character will make an appearance during a battle but not be a main villain. My guess is it will be someone from the ToP like Hit, Jiren, or Kale.

Wasn't it announced at Jump Fiesta that the Super anime would rerun in some new channel or something like that? And the rerun will end by 2023? I expect the Super anime to continue after the rerun of its "first season" is over, the timeline would align.

Yeah it's rerunning, that's why I'm expecting it to return after the rerun ends. It will also give the manga plenty of time to develop so the anime doesn't risk catching up to it and they don't have to make filler arcs.

Well, as long as I get the manga story animated into a TV movie I'm happy, even though the wait is a bit long. Maybe two more years to wait for a TV anime is long... Especially since I don't want to be spoiled reading the manga.
