One Piece/DBKai EyeCatchers

Post by Big Momma » Wed Jun 10, 2009 5:57 pm

I just thought these were pretty neat. I haven't been watching Kai or One Piece, so I don't know if these are in the subs or not.

Zoro and Piccolo

Gohan and Chopper

Kuririn and Luffy

Really? You haven't seen any of these? They're little bumpers they play between DBK and OP to segway between shows on TV. The Zoro/Piccolo one is new to me, though. Thanks!

Haha, oh wow, looking at the Gohan one, Chopper is cuddling the back of the Kinto'un. Oh god, too cute.

I haven't seen the Zoro and Piccolo one before; are they lost? It looks like they're looking at a map. XD

Yeah, these are pretty neat, and Kuririn looks reall weird in the one with him and Luffy. And what do you mean by "in the subs"?

Oh, by the way, prepare for the wrath of Hujio. Not kidding.

I meant, as in, you don't see these dubbed...so, unless your skilled at Japanese and watching the RAW, you're seeing these in some kind of subtitled version.

First, let's get something straight...I SUCK at the Japanese language.

But I just want to go through and take a crack at translating these.

Piccolo/Zoro(Can't really distinguish the voices :P)
"Next is One Piece"
-something I can't really make out-
"Watch it (please?)"

Gohan/Chopper
Gohan: "Next is One Piece!"
Chopper: "Let's do our best!"

Kuririn/Luffy
Luffy:"Next is One Piece"(Seeing a pattern here? :p)
Kuririn: "I won't lose Luffy!"
Luffy:"Right!"

----

Anyway, I'm probably way off on all of these. Eh well, I was bored, haha.

These are commercials and promos for and from Dream 9, which is the one-hour block (9:00am and 9:30am) that airs the new Dragonball Kai and One Piece episodes.

Fixed.

Well, you could translate "omoshiroi sou da ne" a variety of ways.

Not quite. There's actually a bit of a difference if you compared the two a bit closer (mainly in the way they act).

Why would they get someone else to do it when she is clearly readibly available? She probably just phoned it in because it's five seconds long.

Thanks for posting those!

It's interesting to have these little crossovers, let's hope they continue through all of the Kai series, as the characters evolve. Nothing to worry about I guess, why would they stop anyway?
