No reason why someone else can't.

Will post full thoughts when I'm a little more, errr, awake. But for now, I'll just come out and say that I think that this movie is a little overrated, and that I do struggle to sit through the start of the film and when Gohan turns into an ape.

It is one of weaker ones in my opinion:
-Z Warriors join fight only to be crushed moment after, and not by main villain, but by henchman
-We got new music piece, and boy they overuse it.
-Pacing is bad, too many environment decasing shots
-Villains were uninteresting and had no personality

I enjoy the soundtrack of this film quite a bit, but generally in the context of the Bardock special more than the movie proper.

Tullece gives Masako Nozawa a chance to show off her range of performance, but this movie also introduces Hire Dragon, who is a blemish on the franchise (though it's probably also at its least annoying here).

Hire Dragon? That's a new one for me. I usually see 'Haiya Dragon' more often.

The old TV edit version of this really put me off liking it. When I finally did see the dub with the original music, I fell in love with the 'dun dun dun' scene. The warriors last ditch efforts against Tullece... So cool. Aside from that I really can't bear to watch the whole thing.

Animation - D. I'm sorry the animation in this movie is bad IMO. I know they was going for a dark toned colored movie but it failed. It looks ugly, bland, and lifeless. Makes sense for it to be lifeless since TOM was used to destroy life but Toei failed in making it dark toned.

Plot - D. Boring and uninteresting plot. Goku taking energy from TOM was a lop hole IMO. THe movie was pretty mucha evil Goku what if correct But the issue is, We don't get any development for Turles. Almost every villain have development in the movies. I just could't get into the plot. It was boring and I always fall asleep during this movie. Only good plot point was Turles destroying the Genki Dami. Just a terrible...not well thought out plot. Gohan turning Ozaru was pointless and added nothing to the plot.

Music - C. Great Music as always is what I usually will say. But something about this movie in ALL BGM's of it is just isn't right.

Fighting - E. Worst fighting in a movie ever for DBZ. The support cast was useless and cold't beat henchmen. Made them look like Goku bitches. The Goku vs Turles fight was disappointing. The movie seems like they forced the Genki Dami(Officially known as Genki Dama) plot. Goku use all of his attacks even the Genki Dami and fails. Then he gets energy from the power fruit tree. OH BOY :) . The world is good again! Then he defeats Turles. Just awful fighting. Garlic Jr Filler Arc had better fights.

I must say this was the worst DB movie. Just awful. 1/10.

This movie got me to really start appreciating music in dragonball movies. The sound effects in this one sound really sharp to me for some reason, especially the attacks and explosions. I think it was pretty neat all the fighters actually fight together for once. And even more neat they get back up to try and fight Tullece. I don't care if they get beat up at least they're shown trying to fight instead of standing around. They all use their signature moves! Nice to see Piccolo's arm stretch attack again. I thought there was a missed opportunity for an oozaru fight.. Would have been awesome seeing two of them fighting it out. That would have been new. I like this one better than the other two. It shows most of the cast than the other movies.

It's far too long and dull, and the soundtrack is incredibly boring.

This used to be my favorite of the original three Ocean dubbed movies, but nowadays...eh. It's all right, and it still stands out from the later films in a good way kind-of, but at the same time...ehhh. *shrugs*

I agree that Turles gives Nozawa a chance to shine a little more differently than any of her other roles do, which is great fun, but beyond that though, the rest of the villains in the movie are fairly forgettable. The robot guy has a pretty good design that stands out, but all of the sub-villains of this movie are kind of a bore since they exist to do only three things - fight the other heroes; beat them; lose single-handedly to Goku. Bah. BAH. This would have been a great opportunity to have the other heroes have a chance to shine, and have them win (after having a hard time of course) against their opponents, but no, let's just have them waste our heroes only for Goku to smack them down with ease. Yeah, that's exciting.

OT: DBZ Movie 3 is awesome. I love the fight scenes, and just how the characters are. Also has a great soundtrack.

I'm somewhere in the middle with this one. It's not highly original, but I think Tullece is interesting, as are his henchmen. The story is acceptable, and the fighting is pretty good too. I love the sequence when Piccolo and the others are holding off Tullece for Goku. The song that plays there is perhaps one of my favorites. I could have done without seeing the humans get their ass kicked (all though, seeing them at all is nice), and the beginning is a little slow until after the opening credits. I would have liked to see Kelamis voice Tullece. Otherwise, it's a pretty entertaining flick, and one I like. It's one of the more memorable movies.

This movie is pretty average IMO.

I am probably going to be way in the minority here, but I actually like the TV-only speech that Corlett's Goku gives. It was actually a fairly nice little moral spin on an otherwise completely out-of-nowhere ending.

The fighting was okay, but it wasn't nearly as interesting or as impactful as movie 2.

Wait, the DUN DUN DUN song (the one I usually associate with the Genki Dama - M-1021) is originally from this movie?

I like this movie!

Goku´s alter ego Tullece is a very good character!!

Fights are not bad and original background music is excellent.

Movie 1 is probably better if you look at it objectively, but 3 is stil my favourite because that was the first one I ever saw. Movie 1 has way better fight scenes. There's still a lot to like about 3, though. I don't remember the soundtrack in 1, but I remember 3 had some excellent and really mature music. Movie 1 has a more original villain with a deeper backstory, but as cliche as Evil Goku is, I like the idea and you don't see it in the main story anyway. It's perfect for a movie and hypes you up. It was also nice seeing Yamcha and co. help out for a change (and seeing all their techniques, like the spirit ball, which I'd never seen before). Some people say the ending is a bit rushed, but I'd say that too is a welcome change from the drawn-out beam struggles and spirit bomb sequences. The FUNimation dub, Ocean dub and Japanese version all have some nice voice work, so you don't lose out if you prefer one over another.

Funny, when I think of the "DUN DUN DUNNN" song, I always think of Broly's transformation.

This is a pretty good movie. I'd say better than movie 2 but not as good as movie 1. I like that we get to see Goku and the human Z Fighters all team up and fight together for the one and only time ever. The action is pretty good but I would have liked to see more of the humans fighting. Plus Goku seems to be doing nothing most of the time while the others fight. Turles felt like a cheap generic character design. I mean an evil version of Goku? Really? His personality is no different to Radtiz. It looks like they just took that hypothetical evil Saiyan Goku that appeared in the anime when King Kai told Goku of the Saiyans and Tuffles and just threw it in the movie because they couldn't think of anything better. He was sort of cool but his personality was really bland. I did like that cool stair off he had with Goku near the end though with all the face shots.

I felt like the movie really dragged near the end. It didn't help that there was hardly any music towards the end of it. I liked the Spirit Bomb theme Kikuchi used and the Tree of Might theme but overall there were too many silent moments and instead of being suspenseful it just got tiresome. And I felt the scenes with Gohan and his Dragon were sort of annoying and didn't add anything to the film. Not as annoying as Gohan's dream from movie 2 but still pointless. Apart from that I think they handled the use of the Spirit Bomb better in this one than in movies 2 and 4. It was pretty original how they had Goku take the energy from the tree although a bit anti-climactic seeing as he beat him so suddenly.
