Japanese: Everybody who's not Nozawa sounds pretty good.

Ocean: It has some pretty good voices/casting. Oh and the first 3 Z movies.

It's cuz Chichi, in most latin american countries is the equivalent to "tits" LOLdbboxkaifan wrote:Castellano Z Dub: Chichi's actually called Chichi unlike the Mexican dub which named her "Milk".
The Kikuchi version of Kai is sometimes bearable to watch.

The Ocean scores sometimes worked.

Was actually going to say the same thing, with only slight changes in the sentence.Rocketman wrote:Japanese: Everybody who's not Nozawa sounds pretty good.
Oh, well, outside of the whole dubbing thing:
Anime - The High School arc filler is enjoyable, and expands the storyline beyond the measly 4 chapters it gets in the manga.
GT - Videl's character design is way better than her End of Z one. I'd go as far as to say it's perfect for her. Also some fight scenes are alright, and they nailed Vegeta's post-Boo characterisation.
BoG - Beers is great, and so is most of the humour and character interactions.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

I really like this thread. It's a nice breath of fresh, positive air, despite it being littered with the occasional snarky, passive aggressive contribution.

"Chichi" in Spain, sounds really similar to the equivalent of "pussy". The only difference is the stress: the word itself is Chee-chi, and the name is pronounced Chi-chee here.Black_Liger wrote:It's cuz Chichi, in most latin american countries is the equivalent to "tits" LOLdbboxkaifan wrote:Castellano Z Dub: Chichi's actually called Chichi unlike the Mexican dub which named her "Milk".
I like French Vegeta's voice, even though I despise the guy who made the translation and screwed up six or seven different dubs.

Spoiler:
Re: Say something positive about the version of you dislike/
Funimation's dub: I liked the (unintentional) comedy and intentional goofiness in it.

French Z dub: I love Goku and Vegeta voice.
Funimation English dub: Great music, especially Perfect Cell and Super Namek theme.

Dbz wiki is not 100% inaccurate. Pretty good for basic knowledge:

Avoiding meta reasons for liking a version (such as "it made me a fan" or "it makes me laugh"):
Ocean Dub:
I love the voice actors. Hell I don't even mind Terry Klassen that much (though I would by no means call it a good performance).
I find that the Levy score is really dark and chilling and fits the Saiyan saga fairly well.
Due to a lot of the filler being cut the pacing is often times more pleasant than the original.
Funimation Dub:
A couple of the voice actors are pretty good. Its strange, even when I was a fan of this dub I never really thought of the performances as being all that great (perhaps because I have always had an attachment to the voices of the ocean cast). I didn't really think that they were all bad at the time either, I was just sort of indifferent towards them. Anyway I love Dameon Clarke as Cell (although he is certainly no Norio Wakamoto, that guy is a fucking God when it comes to voicing villains) and a few others are pretty decent (Eric Vale, later Schemmel, Rager, Hebert isn't bad I guess).
The Faulconer music is often really catchy and enjoyable, even though I don't think that it fits the series very well.
