I never agreed with this complaint. Each saga in DBZ felt fresh and inventive to me. I guess people only pay attention to the whole "bad guy shows up and gets defeated" thing, which is not all each saga has to offer.

While the Saiyan and Freeza sagas are, for the most part, pretty tightly written, the Cell and Buu sagas don't exactly share that trait, at least not as much as previous sagas.

So in your opinion, which saga do you think is more flawed?

Hunt for Dragonballs arc: Why don't you take a seat over here.
21st Tenkaichi Budokai arc: Funny and exciting.
Red ribbon arc: Goku Lee in Game of Death.
22nd Tenkaichi Budokai arc: Wow, Tenshinhan is kind of an ass.
Piccolo Daimao arc: Ho, that went dark fast.
23rd Tenkaichi Budokai arc: One of the best arcs to this date.
Raditz arc: Raditz is kinda cool, too bad they killed him off.
Vegeta arc: God damn, they should really have died pretty badly there if not for pure luck.
Namek arc: Vegeta is such a sly dog! Look at him go!
Freeza arc: I finally understand why Kaio warned them to fight against Freeza.
Cyborgs arc: Look at Piccolo shine!
Cell arc: Gohan's SSJ2 transformation is pretty much what saves this arc
Great Saiyaman arc: Fresh, and funny

This reminds me; waaaay back when I started watching Dragon Ball Z, I picked it up in the middle of Goku's fight with Vegeta and I honestly thought, at first, that Vegeta was Goku's evil twin.
