Why!? :x

The dub still sounds good, but, why FUNi? What was wrong with Kienzan?
Perhaps there's a difference between the theatrical and uncut showing? The uncut version of DBZ Kai has Krillin saying 'Kienzan', but the TV [Nicktoons] version has Krillin saying 'Destructo Disk', they do that with a lot of the techniques like 'Tri-Beam' and others. They even have Vegeta's "It's over 8,000!" line changed to "It's over 9,000!" in the TV version only.

I hadn't been paying attention to details about the movie, but why would that be? My BOG DVD has two different options for "Theatrical Version" and "Uncut Version" or something along those lines.

Yeah. The theatrical version is the 85 minute cut of the movie. The "uncut" is the extended edition of the movie. That has 20 extra minutes of footage. That doesn't mean the dubs are different. Vegeta still calls Beerus a bastard in the theatrical version and the uncut version. So, maybe you should actually know what you're talking about before saying anything.

How could Gohan seriously have trouble fighting against Frieza soldiers? He should be able to flick all of them with just his pinky. What a shitty disappointing film. Its like Toriyama is running out of ideas and he attempts to make characters like Gohan and Piccolo usefull by them having to struggle against some low level fodder soldiers that even master roshi could mop the floor with!? JUST WOW!!!

He's stalling time, Freeza says Gohan could beat them in an instant before learning Gohan could go SS.

Ok but it just seems like Gohan was actually trying to fight them, the way they captured his expression looked like he was struggling against them especially when they kicked him back. It would have been more proper to have Gohan just stand there like Cell and have entire army unleash everything on him while he doesn't even get a scratch.

Again, he's stalling for time, if he just beat them all in a second, then he wouldn't have time.

Stalling for time ->Proceeds to oneshot Shisami instead of letting Piccolo drag things out.

That Gohan be a genius.

I thought we had established Gohan is an idiot ever since 1) he lost his ultimate power-up, 2) he refuses to train and 3) he refuses to sit down for 5 minute for a power-up even greater than the one that took him a day.

Shows how much respect Gohan has for Piccolo's strength really. Instead of believing he could take some random Freeza soldier out, he has to jump in instead.

Well we also clarified through research he needs his hand held by Goku if he ever wants to succeed. His character wasn't allowed to bypass that stage, so it's his ultimate weakness.

That part pissed me off in the movie. Piccolo had things under control.

Just bought my tickets. :D Super excited now and I'm still debating on whether I should go to both showings. The Saturday one is filling up incredibly fast, must be about 1/3 already full and it is not a small theatre either. Pretty impressive effort, we're getting the film a week later than most theatres, too; August the 15th and 16th, so it's still more than a month out. Guess people are pretty eager. It's been getting a lot of coverage on the Madman and Embassy Theatre Facebook pages.

what a pretty terrible movie, even by DBZ movie standards. the whole thing made me cringe, seeing Piccolo struggle against a Frieza Soldier was just awful. Really wish they went a more darker, serious route. This is fucking Frieza after all.

I got a little bored so I decided to see how many minutes worth of action BoG (theatrical cut) and RoF had.

Battle of Gods had 18 minutes worth of action between it's three action scenes SSJ3 Goku vs Beerus, Z Fighters vs Beerus and SSJG Goku vs Beerus.

Resurrection F had 32 minutes worth of action between it's three action scenes Goku and Vegeta vs Whis, Z Fighters vs Freeza's men and SSGS Goku and Vegeta vs Frieza.

That includes some of the talking in between for both movies so it's not exact but it shows RoF did have a lot more action.

I think that was one of Toriyama's stated intentions going in, upping the amount of action this time around, yeah.

Or maybe they just coloured an old picture blue, not realising that a million people on the Internet have already done that.
