Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Sweatsuit Gohan getting a figure? Cool. :3
I really want to see the scenes that led to it though.
Also, I wish sweatsuit Gokû had gotten one too. *_*
There is no dialogue on that 30th page.
No mention of the missing Cell and Buu arc characters either.
*Holds out for Weekly and V*
Is that Gohan a part of the five mystery figures from a few months back?

Two days before the Japan release date? Is that unusual?

How mind blowing it with be if Funi was currently working on the dub to this and released that in select theaters simultaneous with the release in Japan. O_O
*I'd still want to see the subbed version, myself, but even so that'd be an achievement if Funimation could pull it off.

Now the most important question is will they be getting the original voices?

Were there legal reasons for why BoG's English dub took so long? I have a hard time believing that Funimation simply isn't interested in a speedy release.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
I have seen some people posting from 20th Century Fox (LA spanish) also claiming the movie will come out April 17th on Mexico. What the hell?? This is fake or wrong, right?
Mario Castañeda declared they have not been informed of any dubbing plans in Spanish. This is just... crazy. Are they going to try to release in Japanese with subs? People here are not used to Nozawa's voice at all.

We don't know anything.FatNagger69 wrote:Were there legal reasons for why BoG's English dub took so long? I have a hard time believing that Funimation simply isn't interested in a speedy release.
The most logical speculation is simply that North America's a huge market, Toei probably wanted the most money out of Fox & FUNimation for it (compared to other worldwide markets), and it wasn't big enough for Fox to really put significant effort/time into swiftly so it got done when it got done.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Considering how poorly the game releases had been doing around that time, it's a fair assumption. I still feel a bit miffed about not getting Dragon Ball Online over here. Though Toei/Funimation does license a lot of products and media in North America so it's possible they had a lot of other things to finish before those voice actors could even get to dubbing for BoG.VegettoEX wrote:We don't know anything.FatNagger69 wrote:Were there legal reasons for why BoG's English dub took so long? Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
I had so much spare time when DBO was out, I definitely would've played it ifunder it had come to the U.S.
If Funi manages to do a simul theater release with Japan, I'm gonna have to struggle with choosing to go or not. I'd really rather see the subbed version first and the dub later.
Not gonna worry tho. I'm still hungrier for plot updates than anything else F-related.
Tell me what Gokû and Vegeta are up to, Shueisha. Are they training together under Whis? Are they room-mates in a dorm on Beerus planet? Are there bunk-beds? Who gets the top bunk? Do they rock paper scissors for it? :3
I need actual plot info so I don't keep imagining this stuff that gets my hopes up for shenanigans that most likely won't happen. ^^;;

Wish he wouldn't use Spike models as a base. They look awkward.

The USA date is not confirmed yet, and the Mexican one may change.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Why do people act like America getting Battle of Gods in English took so long? It came out a year after it was being released in the US which is hardly a long time. If fans can wait 11 years for Fusion Reborn to come out in the US then waiting a year for a new movie should be nothing.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
When Battle of Gods came out in the US, those who wanted to had already watched it online.
While the same could be said of any other DB movie, they were already old news by the time
Dragon Ball made its way to the US, so that's hardly a fair comparison.
This is a new product, and it's perfectly reasonable to want a fair release date.
While waiting a year isn't the end of the world, it's still pretty shitty.

1. It was over a year.Hellspawn28 wrote:Why do people act like America getting Battle of Gods in English took so long? 2. It was being released in lots of other countries with no word for America, making fans more agitated.
3. Fusion reborn came out at the right time for the American running of the anime, the anime has been done and over for a long time in America so the comparison is pretty bad.
