Your most prized possession

Post by samuraix123 » Sun Aug 17, 2014 1:21 pm

Hello Everyone! What's your most prized Dragonball possession? Mine is a Vegeta card of him sitting in his capsule coming to earth that my grandfather gave me and now Funimation's signed poster. :)
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

I would have to say my Dragon Boxes. I was really lucky to get them when I did. I only payed $27 for volume 2, and now it's over $300.

I have most of the Complete Edition of the DB mangas in Japanese with dust jackets and original promo cards/slips around them sitting in my cupboard. I want to complete the collection someday it's just expensive to order them. I love looking at them though.

My Dragon Boxes, without question.

On a side note, one of my cousins came out to visit a few months back, and when I showed him my boxes and told him that some of them were literally going for hundreds, or even thousands of dollars in the second-hand market, especially box 2, which is the only uncut 4:3 release of the early Freeza episodes to date, he said "Never sell them, those are your prize!" Not that I was considering selling them, or anything.

I don't really own much rare DB stuff because I don't have the money to get it and/or import from Japan, so i'll have to say the English DB Complete Illustrations.

Either that, or my 1-42 volumes of manga

The whole manga via Viz Big format. I don't have anything that is really worth a lot so...

Dragon Boxes too...and, to be honest, when I'm watching an episode, I always have this music in mind  : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfyeXrdZZ1o

Dragon Box Z US Collection 1-7 and the Raging Blast 2 Goku cel (in total there were made about 30k of it though it doesn't show up that often, imo).

I'd include in here the Kai Parts but they're still very affordable and low priced whether it's on Blu-ray or DVD.

The Kai Parts aren't rare or hard to find (yet) but that's pretty nice to own nevertheless.

If by "prized" you mean "valuable" then it would be probably GT Perfect Files but if you mean "dear to me" then it's the last volume of the manga in the first French edition. I bought it on my first journey to France, when there was no talk of publishing DB in Poland and I treasure it to this day.

The Dragon Ball Saga sets rare? Since when?
Since they went out of print. I don't know how this is a controversial point. You can't find them in physical stores.

I don't have much stuff of DB now that I think about it.

Season 1-4 of Kai in blu ray.
DBZ BoG in blu ray (Mexico's release)
Vol. 1 and 2 of the colored manga.
Supersonic warriors 2 (I guess this could be the prized possession).
I have a few black and white volumes (The ones I remember are 22,24,25,26) but I'm planning to sell them once the colored versions of these come out (if they ever do).

My NA Dragonbox 1-7 collection.

I also got a bunch of american as well as mexican DBZ trading cards. Probably not rare, but they are pretty cool to have.

That mini God Goku figure with chewing gum, still have that boxed.
And I have Kai Part 4 on the way.

That's about it, but I do have the first volume of DB Uncensored too, if that counts for anything.

All of my Dragon Boxes which includes all seven Z ones and the Japanese ones for the original series and the movies. The only one I don't have is the GT box but I'm in no rush.
