Its possible it will. Its already confirmed, ROF will get released in way more countries.
China being one of the new ones is likely. At least, more likely than Portugal.

Post Weekend Estimates, they went up a little bit. It's rank is estimated at being 11th.

Weekend - ¥40 million ($325,000)
Total - ¥3.60 billion ($30.0 million)

Nice round numbers. Also here's how much the movie made each Monday to Sunday and the drop it had.

Week 1 - ¥873 million
Week 2 - ¥769 million -13%
Week 3 - ¥679 million -12%
Week 4 - ¥149 million -78%
Week 5 - ¥100 million -33%
Week 6 - ¥60 million -40%

This week's drop was saved from being much worse because of the Monday.

Can it leg it out to ¥3.70 billion? Will it lose most of it's theatres after today? Will the actuals go up or down? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z!

I believe so, there's no exact gross in dollars for it but Box Mojo has it at $29.95 million and a few other sources say $30 million, which could just be rounded up.

It's either around the same or a tad more (unless actuals are lower).

Dollar gross in Japan doesn't matter much, TOEI trades on Japanese stock in yens. Fox would care for dollar gross as their cut goes through exchange which's rate is less favourable for them compared to 2013, but I don't think their cut is big within Japan territory in the first place so no biggie. Fox got much more to gain from other markets they're distributing in

I must say, there was an immense drop in week 4. What the hell happened? Not that it matters now, but, damn, what a huge drop during that week.

It was the post Golden Week drop. Week 3 had that Monday to Wednesday that was part of GW where they were raking in more money than the weekend.

Week 4 was just an ordinary week so it dropped like a rock, a big rock.

Total - ¥3.59 billion ($29.9 million)

Admissions - 2.74 million

Estimates are down a tad but Monday was first day of the month discount day so it made up for it that way.

In Japan the movie is currently the 51st highest grossing Animated film and the 40th highest grossing Anime film of all time and will rise three more places on both accounts by the end of it's run.

Also it looks as though the movie may have made $206,000 in Hong Kong though the google translator makes it awkward to know the exact details.

All accounted for the worldwide total noe stands at $32.16 million.

It made $179,000 after 5 weekends which is when it's run ended. Looks like this one has made $206,000 in 2 weekends.

I'm certain that ROF had more screens in Hong Kong than BOG did, but either way, that's an impressive improvement.

Its sad how in these last weeks, ROF is barely moving forward in Japan. Completely out of gas!
Still, I'm happy for surprassing BOG (that was the main goal) and beat FF7 and Conan in their opening weekend. Unlike BOG, this time we had competition since day one but toei didn't back off! Props for them once again. for giving us better animation and believe in this.

Even bigger success in Japan then previous one, world-wide it will obviously have even larger increase over BOG. More countries, wider and faster rollout and bigger Fox distribution muscle. The movie is pure cash for Toei and Fox

It's made $30 million on a budget of $5 million. Making 6x it's budget in Japan alone shouldn't be considered anything but a great success.

Though it has been incredibly front loaded. Of all the films since December that have grossed ¥1 billion+ DBZ has been the most front loaded with only The Last Naruto movie being remotely close.

I read that a multiplier worse than x4 is considered bad and this looks to have a multiplier of x3.8ish.

It's a very fan driven film just like superhero films in the US. The promotion where the first 1.5 million viewers got a gift is a big part of that too.

Then again other films might be less front loaded but they still won't make nearly as much profit.

Oh and I'd be surprised if it released in China, they're kinda funny over there.
