Trust me when I say give it a view. It's not going to go the direction you think it is(at least where I thought it would). As a fan of the series, you'll probably let out a loud duh but there is some really cool stuff none the less.

Thanks for the recommendation. I skipped over it when I saw it. Can you post a summary of what he goes over? I'd rather not blindly give him any ad revenue.

Basically he tackles the subject, that pops up in many casual Dragonball fan conversations, that the Super Saiyan is connected to aryan beliefs. His argument is of course there is no connection, and goes on to discuss where the influence could have come from in eastern culture. It's more historical than anything else and while sometimes it feels like he's talking too fast, he talks about some really cool stuff.

I've listened to him talk about other stuff, and his forte is older 80's cartoons and comicbooks so I was worried about his knowledge in Dragonball. But he seems to have a really good grasp on the lore(probably has been here a few times) and it made me happy.

The overall argument he makes will be met with a very obvious duh, so you probably won't learn anything new about Dragonball Specifically. However the cultural and history stuff and how it could tie into everything is pretty fun.

I've seen YouTube videos where people have put in far less effort and made a lot more money off of it, at least this had an interesting history lesson.

While it's published through Screw Attack, MovieBob is a free lance creator working on his own terms and topics. He has no affiliation with the Death Battle crew or any say in the outcome or anything like that. Nor is this fueling any kind of revenue towards that.

The subject matter isn't really important for this group in here but there are some cool historical things in the video and it's always fun to see Dragonball used as a biases for deeper historical conversations.

He also related the ending to Super Mario Bros. 3 as emotional as the Kennedy Assassination and 9/11 in his book. He related the ENDING TO A VIDEO GAME as emotional as those 2 event which were awful.

Just curious. Why do you not want to give him any ad revenue? Because I've heard that a lot of people have issues with Moviebob but I never understood why.

Wow, did you even watch the video? Nothing you posted there is relevant to the video apart from the fact that Moviebob is in it. Yes it has a bit of a clickbait title but it's a harmless video, I can't imagine many people having an issue with it, he very quickly makes clear that it's more of a history lesson than an accusation onto Dragon Ball, in fact it's not an accusation of anything, it's a clarification to people that wondered if blonde hair = powerful was meant to symbolise something (which it isn't).

My direct observations of certain topics, events, and game genres (unrelated to Dragon Ball) are, in reality, very different from the way Bob Chipman has presented them for several years now. As he is someone who makes money from ad revenue from video views, I'd rather not help him get paid to say something that, in my own observations, I have found to be largely untrue.

Based on his track record with other untruths, I'd rather not waste my time any further with his videos even if what he says, in this case, is related to Dragon Ball. It's nothing personal. I'm sure he's an alright guy to play a round of Super Butouden with.
