Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.
I dislike how SSJG was created and the design is normal I can't really like it or dislike it.
But I totally dislike SSJ4 design, I don't like or dislike how he was created though.
So I choose SSJG

These days people start throwing the words "filler" and "silce of life" everytime characters aren't punching each other. No matter if something is moving the plot or there's character exposition.
Imagine if DB started these days. It would go like this:
"hey, what's happening in Dragon Ball today?"
"Goku wants Mutenroshi to train him, so he's bringing him some chicks now."
"oh i see, just slice of life filler then. skippable. "
The way I see it, SSG is too simple, he gets thinner and the obvious hair color change, which is cool. However, as a matter of taste, SSJ 4 is more imposing than SSG. The design for SSJ 4 is outstanding. It is everything a Saiyan should be. Half Oozaru, Half Saiyan. I consider the SSJ 4 to be the Primal form of the SSJ. Even in Power level SSJ 4 looks that it can overtake Bluper any time.
I would love for DBSuper to bring some concepts of my Primal SSJ

Vegeta: The Legendary Warrior of SpaZe.
At first i liked SSJ4 becuase it was pretty cool and it's a lot more physically imposing than the God form but i have to say the SSJG Forms have really grown on me besides the aura for the God forms looks great
SSJ4 easily. It has far more creativity, impact, and weight to the form. This is a transformation. This feels like the pinnacle of saiyan power. It combines Super Saiyan and Oozaru. The only weird thing for me is the lack of nipples. That's about it. The eyeliner I find primitive and adds to the form. SSJG on the other hand has a cool aura, and that's it. It's boring as hell for a god form, which I think Toriyama was going for. SSJ4 is the most creative form since Super Saiyan. SSJ God, and especially Blueper is basically me spending a couple minutes in photoshop recolouring, and calling it a day for a new design. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan 2 would probably be the same thing but with pink hair if it existed.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
