Yeah this is the type of thing that you would see it back in 1997-2001 during the prime days of DBZ.

I mean, as far as I know, we've never - never - had Dragon Ball used to advertise something here that wasn't at least already related to the series in some way. We had toy ads, game ads, ads for Shonen Jump, etc., but a completely-unrelated-otherwise vehicle? That's the kind of thing that happens rarely enough for US made shows. I would never in my wildest dreams have expected something like this to ever even come to someone's mind, much less be made.

Well confession time I haven't seen Z with the Japanese music so I assumed I just assumed it was, that makes more sense now.

I'm far from an expert on this kind of thing, but as far as I could tell, the music is something they cooked up for the commercial. It certainly doesn't sound familiar to me at any rate.

Has Kenisu3000 seen the ad yet? He'd probably be the most likely to recognize it if it is from a previous Japanese source.

I just downloaded the video to watch it.

Kind of disappointing in comparison to the last one honestly. Not sure I approve of this if it becomes a common thing, especially if they're just recycling old animation from the series.

With a company like Ford you'd at least expect them to afford animators for a commercial.

It sounds like it, but it's really just a synthesized piano hitting two or three notes so anyone could've composed it. I think it's funny Sony isn't mentioned in this commercial, and suddenly the music quality drops.
