To get to Toriyama, you 1st go through TOEI.

He is a protected asset for TOEI.

As its the case with "major players" in WWE. At least thats the impression I get

I have a feeling that this thread is going to be locked soon. Toriyama is not going to respond to some random fan from the west. He likely only speaks to certain people and does not want to deal with a huge fave of fanboys.

He was & still is their money-spinner isnt he?

Kai was advertised to be "Toriyama's Cut" & Supa generated phenomenal wave of interest in East & West just because Toriyama's name/brand associated officially since like what?

1996 maybe? That too minor contributions for GT.

So, its only logical AT is an invaluable asset. His work entertained a generation. Was standard bearer for Shounen & is still regarded as one of all-time classic. His legendary status in the hearts of even most casual DBZ fan is something TOEI has repeated abused & trolled.

Of course it's possible, if you got very lucky, but it's highly, highly unlikely.

The man is usually not comfortable doing interviews with journalists, why would he be any different with the fans?
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula :thumbup:

Someone said he actually did what he said he was going to do but after that he was never seen or heard from again.

Rumor has it that Toriyama has a torture chamber under his house for fans who are stupid enough to knock on his door.

Shueisha has a mailing address you can send fan mail to your favorite artist, but I'm not sure that would apply to (mostly)inactive ones like Toriyama.

(name of recipient, i.e. Mr. Toriyama Akira, Mr. Oda Eiichiro, etc.)

Was it even confirmed one way or another he doesn't? I would actually be surprised if he wasn't fluent in English, considering his interest and knowledge in worldwide cultural tropes, art, cars, history, tech etc

Toriyama is what I call "low key". He likes to keep a low profile, and likes to live his life away from the publicity.
