I feel like this is a big exaggeration. And where at all did this become a thread like that? Surely, you'd expect Super to come up as a factor in here with the new room.nite_jay wrote:It happens to every thread sooner or later...ArchedThunder wrote:Did this seriously have to turn into a shit on Super thread?

Honestly, I do not expect this to be relevant before the end of the year or early 2017.

He actually always drew the characters really close to how they are in Super. The colouring and flatness of the line art has plagued his work since he began. Biggest difference is that he's using smaller character designs (a stylistic choice most likely than evolution of style) so it comes off worse than it did before. In the old Z, the episodes Yamamuro did not work on, rather those who were around before he became lead, used those designs and 'fixed' them.HybridSaiyan wrote:Hardly call if evolution, more like a downgrade.Neo-Makaiōshin wrote:Art evolution.HybridSaiyan wrote: Why can't he draw Vegeta like the Buu Saga and Movies 12/13? I don't get it.
But watching clips from GT, his style looks the exact same then as now. The plastic colouring and hair was present in GT from the beginning. Even the animation wasn't as smooth compared to the best animated episodes of Dragon Ball. Tao Pai Pai vs Arale and Goku or Tenshinhan vs Drum still look fantastic to this day!
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

So... Can we expect SSJ5 and the return of old villains with lame power-ups?

At least the second one, eventually (If they milk the series the way I think they will). Hopefully no SS5 though, not necessarily because it would be bad, but because it's already been done to death by fans.Noah wrote:So... Can we expect SSJ5 and the return of old villains with lame power-ups?

I'm not sure where you're getting any of that from. Nothing of the sort has been implied at all.Noah wrote:So... Can we expect SSJ5 and the return of old villains with lame power-ups?

I know, I was just kidding with the fact that fans giving ideas to the main author could lead in something like thatBaggie_Saiyan wrote:I'm not sure where you're getting any of that from. Nothing of the sort has been implied at all.

I think that might be too soon as well cause Toriyama is still incharge of the franchise.Cetra wrote:Honestly, I do not expect this to be relevant before the end of the year or early 2017.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Or Toriyama will just work with the Dragon Room in the same way he works with Toei and Toyotaro...sintzu wrote:I think that might be too soon as well cause Toriyama is still incharge of the franchise.Cetra wrote:Honestly, I do not expect this to be relevant before the end of the year or early 2017.

He probably does that now but I don't think they'll have a main/huge role in the franchise until he leaves.ArchedThunder wrote:Or Toriyama will just work with the Dragon Room in the same way he works with Toei and Toyotaro...

Google Translate is not doing us any favours.Lujin_16 wrote:Here a interview about the Dragonball Room

But the gist I'm gathering from this butchered translation is that Dragon Ball Room was made to focus on creating as much new content in all forms of media as possible and releasing it to as many international parties to bring more recognition of the franchise.

Could you post the original source, please?
And what is "Dragon Ball Ultra"? It also would appear this Dragon Ball Room has to do with the manga spin offs, and video games, as well as ideas for the animated TV show, and that they work directly with Toriyama?
Re: Shueisha's 'Dragon Ball' Room, New Department Focused on Dragon Ball
The "Super" in DB Super is written as the kanji 超 which could also be translated as "ultra" since they mean the same thing. Most likely the article didn't use the furigana that tell you the 超 is supposed to be pronounced as "super."sangofe wrote:And what is "Dragon Ball Ultra?

I would lol'd if they actually ended Super this year just to announce a sequel with the name "Dragon Ball Ultra"

I'll wait for a better translation before judging, but hearing "overseas, popularity is determined by 'strength'" seems pretty accurate.
I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

I'd even be hesitant with that. Google Translate will sometimes deliver the opposite of what the original statement meant.MozillaVulpix wrote:I'll wait for a better translation before judging, but hearing "overseas, popularity is determined by 'strength'" seems pretty accurate.

I want that Dolangon Ballroom, I suspect they air very cool music.
I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.
