Celebrities you'd like to hear in the English dub
Hello Kanzenshuu community! I was just curious about what celebrities would you like to hear in the English dub?
I personally would like to hear Michael C. Hall in Dragon Ball someday.

Haven't we already gotten these in GT? Goku dies, the DBs go away, and the Namekian DBs most likely won't be used again because of the Evil Dragons.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Seth Rogen as some secondary character in special episode or movie.

Chris Pratt as Goku. He nails that child-like personality and excitement.

Do the voice actors for the Simpsons count as celebrities? Because I've always thought Harry Shearer would make a good Freeza if he used something similar to his Mr Burns voice. He'd also probably be able to pull off a decent Coola too if he voiced him like he did Burns in the real early episodes of The Simpsons.
On the subject of Freeza's family; David Hyde Pierce as Freeza, and Kelsey Grammar as Coola.

Re: Celebrities you'd like to hear in the English dub
I'm not sure they do. Thing is, if Dragon Ball dubbing was a higher-budget production based in LA, these kinds of actors perhaps could in fact end up dubbing for it. I think for them to be a celebrity, it has to be a big name who'd bring some real star power to a major movie.ringworm128 wrote:Do the voice actors for the Simpsons count as celebrities? I think there was another thread where the idea was "What if Dragon Ball dubbing was a high-budget LA production?", though it was somewhat poorly-phrased as something like "What would a proper English cast for Dragon Ball be like?", so it largely got drowned out by debating whether Dragon Ball has already had a "Proper cast"(It has, at least twice), and whether or not it's somewhat rude to use such terms(It is).
Perhaps that could do with a better-phrased revival.
