Would Raditz and Lunch/Launch make a good couple?
So, about a month ago, I made a thread called Was Raditz wasted potential?, where I basically talk about Raditz having so much potential, but that potential was squandered. And then I got you guys' thoughts on this topic and surprisingly enough, most of you guys disagree with me. But, there was something that I talked about in that thread that I haven't seen anyone else talk about, and that is the concept of Raditz hooking up with another kind of wasted character, and that being Lunch, otherwise known as Launch. And I figured, you know what? I'll make this it's own thread. And that's why I wanna ask you guys... What do you think of Raditz and Lunch/Launch as a couple? Would they make a good couple? Or would it not work out because they have nothing in common?
Caulifla best girl!
Re: Would Raditz and Lunch/Launch make a good couple?
Urmmm... they'd be an odd couple I guess? It really depends on how they wrote it. It's a pretty arbitrary question as there is very little to talk about.
I would prefer Lunch and Tien Shinhan as a couple anyway.

Re: Would Raditz and Lunch/Launch make a good couple?
Raditz didn't really have any characterisation in the actual story, so his personality is pretty much entirely up to fan interpretation.
So would Raditz and Lunch make a good couple? Who knows. I think that's for the fanfic writers to decide.

The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.
Re: Would Raditz and Lunch/Launch make a good couple?
Well Masako made a whole series on it so I would imagine they work well together.

Where is this coming from? In a shipping thread a while back, people were throwing out random couples.

Raditz would just murder her, like he intended to do with the rest of the planet.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

This is the only Raditz pairing that matters.

Theres a chance that they could be a good couple considering that they both are ruthless and have a love for chaos and destruction. But this topic is silly and I doubt it would ever happen.

The only one featured in a official Dragon Ball product, anyways.Makaioshin wrote:

Fair enough, but I find these shipping threads absurd. It's little more than random names thrown together.Polyphase Avatron wrote:To be fair so was Vegeta in the beginning.ABED wrote:Where is this coming from? In a shipping thread a while back, people were throwing out random couples.

Raditz would probably just fuck and flee. Kill her if she tries him.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Yeah, that's really all it is. I wouldn't hate the shipping fandom if it weren't so pervasive, but it's even seeping into this forum now.ABED wrote:Fair enough, but I find these shipping threads absurd. I don't mind shipping, but this isn't that. It's names randomly picked out of a hat. But I agree. Online, shipping discurssions tend to be less "I think these two characters are the best couple" and are more "I think these two characters are the best couple and you're a dumbass for disagreeing."

Nope. I'm not feeling it. Lunch and Tenshinhan is a couple I could get behind but Ten has no interest in relationships.
