Help Me Gather the Lost Remants of the Toonami Dub?

I'm interested in restoring the lost Funimation's Dragon Ball Z Ver. 1 and Funimation's Dragon Ball Z Ver. 3. The versions that aird on WB and Cartoon Network (or YTV if you're Canadian), from 1996 till 2008(?). Ver. 2 would be what was on the DVD singels, and Ver. 4 would be what's on all DVDs/BDs since 2007. Ver. 3 is the "Ultimate Uncut Edition", and I believe the only difference between that and the 2007-onward releases is that Vic Mingona playd Berttuh (or "Burter" or "Butta") in the U.U.E..

This can mostly be accomplisht by owning Funimation's DVD singels, but there are many omissions. Mainly next episode previews, but some-times recaps and episode ends are missing Dale Kelly, and Mister Satan, of course, was change'd to "Hercule" for TV.

Buying Madman's DVDs for volumes 18~19, Funimation's VHS tapes for volumes 50~52, Madman's VHS tapes for volumes 53~56, and Funimation's VHS tapes for volumes 57~87 helps, and I have some of those. YouTube videoes help as well; Many people have uploaded VHS recordings.

Is this already a project, tho? I don't want to do all this work for nothing. If not, does anyone have Madman's Captain Ginyu: Assault on DVD, or Madman's Cell Games: Earth’s Last Hope, Awakening, Sacrifice, or Nightmare’s End on VHS (edited)? Or does anyone have or know where I can get any of the missing bit of content?

Minor, but worthy of note in case you didn't know, even some of the edited VHS featuring Dale Kelly are different from their broadcast counterpart. I vividly recall Kelly's narration ending some broadcast episodes with "Stay tuned for scenes of the next exciting episode of Dragon Ball Z!" which are absent on any home release I've seen (which is pretty much every NA release save for the 2013 BDs... I think it's safe to assume it's not on there either.)

Also, this may be ignorant, but why spefically the Madman sets?

I know of a few people who are working on exactly this. I'm pretty sure all of the "Lost" material has been located.

However, two small corrections (plus a long tangent explaining the first)...

The OP/ED was replaced with a new OP and ED composed by Anitunes which would become better known as the OP/ED for the Westwood Z dub, some of the music placements were changed, a few lines were swapped out for alternates (which ended up fixing some editing errors in Funi's TV edit; "don't piss off the dragon god of love" had its correct TV-edited alternative used by Ocean, whereas Funi forgot to make this edit for the USA airing), I think a few video and audio edits were made for various reasons, and the SFX track was augmented with some of the SFX people will remember from Ocean's other work on Dragon Ball.
If you want my take, this was kind of an early part of the steps to get the Westwood dub in production, whether this was intentional from the start or not; it's impossible to know the details, but it's fairly obvious that whatever went on, it resulted in Ocean getting ahold of Funi's production materials for DBZ in about 2000/2001. Likely this would have included the video master, the SFX, and the scripts. With this material in hand, all they'd need to do is get the Ocean cast back together to record, place some of the library music Ocean had built up from their work with Anitunes over the years, and you'd have a fairly cheaply-produced dub for the international market...
But of course, the materials also included Funi's raw dialogue recordings, their music, probably their TV edit and/or their TV edit notes, etc., so Ocean made their own edits of Funi episodes 54-161 for Canada, in addition to ending up dubbing their own version of 108-276.
I do wonder if Ocean handling Canada's TV edits from Garlic Jr. was done to get episodes to YTV faster, since Funi were infamously bad at getting their episodes to YTV at any decent pace... And then perhaps Westwood stepped in and had Ocean start doing dubbing too, for AB Groupe to distribute in Europe, and then YTV requested this dub to get episodes 162+ faster, since then they wouldn't have to wait for Funi's dialogue to be recorded and edited too.

Anyway, this rather extreme diversion aside, I don't think Vic Mignogna was ever in the Z dub. Pretty sure it was still Sabat in Ultimate Uncut.
For one thing, listen to it yourself, it definitely sounds like Sabat; kinda sounds like his Drummond impression from his early work on Z.
I presume there's a more definitive source on this somewhere, but I wouldn't know where to look.

Oh, wow! I didn't know that YTV's version was different aside form the theme songs. That sounds like a pretty huge pain.

I can't listen to it for myself anymore. All the YouTube clips from 2005 of Berttuh from the Ultimate Uncut Edition are long gone. But I recall him saying that he was the new Berttuh, and then it aird on TV and he was, and then the 2007 DVDs came out and he was replace't with Sabat. I know it was talkt about on this forum at the time, but I can't find the thread. I never can when I need a specific one... :/

True... It's probably a change I could ignore, tho. "Stay tune'd for scenes from the next episode of Dragon Ball Z"being changed to ...on the next exciting episode of Dragon Ball Z!" isn't the BIGGEST change... But it would be ideal, of course, so have it be correct. But my head hurts just thinking about fixxing all that too. Lol.

For the two Madman DVDs, they fixd an error Funimation made. Funimation forgot to include the recaps in their first two DBZ DVDs. And as for the MAdman VHS tapes, they exist. Funimation just stopt making the VHS tapes with five to go... >_>

Well, looking it over myself, it seems pretty certainly to be Sabat; you might just be conflating some things, as Mignogna only got the role from about 2010, when Funi started doing Kai. Though he may have been cast as early as 2009.

What are the differences between Ver. 1 and Ver. 2 of Funimation's Dragon Ball Z dub? I know of Dale Kelly being replaced by Kyle Herbert as the narrator starting with the second volume of the Cell Games Saga as well as the entirety of the Great Saiyaman Saga, but was there any other differences between the two versions?

My apologies for the double post, but I would like to correct some of the information I said in the previous post. I looked through some VHS recordings and it confirmed that Kyle Herbert was always the narrator for the entirety of the Buu Saga. The only Dale Kelly narrations that got replaced with new narrations by Kyle Herbert were in the DVD releases of the Cell Games series, with the exception of the first one, "Cell Games - Ultimatum" which was released much earlier than the others.
