"Let that child alone!" in 13 languages.
I found this video sometime last week or the week before. I'd just thought I'd share along with my opinions of each of the languages posted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psCXsn_i_Rg
Japanese - You all know that the original version will always rule. I love Masako Nozawa's performance as Tullece.
Korean - Gohan's voice actor is adorable in this version. I love the squeakiness when Piccolo was asking if he was alright.
French - Not too bad. Piccolo sounds weird to me.
Portugese - Not a big fan of Gohan's voice. Tullece's isn't too bad. Piccolo sounds like one of those mechanical aliens.
Spanish - Piccolo and Tullece's voices aren't bad at all. I thought Gohan's was rather shaky, though.
Catalan - Not too bad. Gohan's voice is cute in it.
Basque - Tullece and Piccolo are so so . Gohan sounds too old for his age. D:
German - I dunno. Piccolo's voice is kind of odd in this one. At one point he and Tullece sounded exactly the same I guess like the Portugese they give an alien concept to his voice.
Mexican - "Senor Piccolo!" I just love that. I didn't think the audio was very good, though.
Brasil - Again, I'm amused by the "Senor Piccolo."
English/Ocean Dub (Edited) - I've always love Piccolo and Gohan's VAs in the Ocean dub. Didn't care for Tullece's in the edited
English/Ocean Dub/Pioneer - This is my favorite of the English versions. When my friend and I first watched this years ago we laughed our asses off when we first heard Tullece say "Who the hell are you?" I love his voice in this version than the edited version.
English/Funimation - I haven't seen the full dub of this, but just seeing this clip makes me cringe. Just hearing Tullece say "Stop it, you're scaring me!" in a seductive sounding voice is disturbing enough.
Malaysian English - This dub is just funny. Gohan's voice is annoying though. I really don't have anything else to say about it.
United Kingdom - Tanooki was the one who inspired this video. I just love how "Let that child alone" shows up on the screen when he says it.
So there you go. Piccolo's flashy right ear is an eyesore after a while, and yes I do have trouble correctly spelling his name. T_T

The only two that I could actually understand/made any sense were the Spain one and the Mexico one. Every other one was only so incomprihensable.

I just love seeing Piccolo and Gohan falling 13 times lol
This sure brings back memories, I'm originally from Venezuela, and there i watched the entire series with the Mexican dub. Then at 16, i moved to the US, where i got a taste of the Funimation dub i also started watching Dragon Ball in Japanese over there (it was either Japanese or Funimation, i made the obvious choice )
And now I'm living in Spain, where every now and then i catch an episode of the Spanish dub of Dragon Ball.
Its funny to see the same episode in three different dubs, and the many changes they have when compared with each other. I personally prefer the Mexican dub, i think its the closest to the original in Japanese. But the best way to see the series is with the original audio, no one yells Kamehameha, like THE Masako Nozawa does
Great video, i remembered good times....

I actually thought that line was simply hilarious.Magica wrote: English/Funimation - I haven't seen the full dub of this, but just seeing this clip makes me cringe. Just hearing Tullece say "Stop it, you're scaring me!" in a seductive sounding voice is disturbing enough.
This was the first time I've actually laughed out loud at something Dragonball related in a real, real long time.Magica wrote: Malaysian English - This dub is just funny. Gohan's voice is annoying though. I really don't have anything else to say about it.

Gohan literally sounds retarded in the AB Groupe Dub.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

When you watch the same thing over and over again, you notice these things.SonGokuGT wrote:Nice video. I never noticed it before but Piccolo's ear flashes white when he attacks Tullece. I will forever be bugged by that.
I loved seeing Spain's dub voices again as well as Mexico's Señor Pikoro!

Tullece: "What are you supposed to be?"
Piccolo: "I'm everything you fear"
