With the Otherworld having the very exact same set of benefits as the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. But with the Otherworld not having any of the infamous drawbacks of using the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Like for an example, just like in the Room of Spirit and Time, a day in the Realm of the Living who have equalled a year while in the Otherworld. However, unlike with the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, there is literally no limit to how many times a being or a group of beings can enter the Otherworld in order to have trained and/or catch up with deceased loved ones.
How different would Son Goku's training with King Kai have been in the Saiyan Saga? Along with that of the rest of the Z-Fighters who would have trained with the aforementioned King Kai at a later time than when Son Goku did?

Re: The Otherworld Being A Little Bit Like The Hyperbolic Time Chamber
Technically, isn't the afterlife really more like the opposite of the Room of Spirit and Time?
In the Room, time races ahead of normal speed, but in the afterlife, time never passes at all - Goku says it has no meaning there (which is why he's able to use SSj3 without penalty when he's dead and in the afterlife), and even Chi Chi seems to know that people don't age in the afterlife.
But even so, relative to the mortal sphere, the afterlife doesn't seem to introduce a functional disparity in how time passes - the time it takes Goku to do stuff like traverse the Serpent Road also takes time in the realm of the living - it's not like his journey takes less time for the sphere of the living than it does for Goku experientially, or anything.

I am asking what if the Otherworld was like the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in a way, but also different in another aspect.Magnificent Ponta wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 12:34 pm Technically, isn't the afterlife really more like the opposite of the Room of Spirit and Time?
