If there was a top 2 with no erasure as a stake how would it play out.

Roshi would say he's retired without the incentive of saving the universe not to mention he's already taught the UI lesson and U11 are ready for it.

Boo might be sleeping but if it's not life and death manga wise he's not that interested in fighting anymore right? Perhaps they bribe him in.

Freeza probably doesn't want to work with the dragon team without a prize at stake.

17 only left the island the first time to save the universe but even then mostly to pay Kuririn back.

18 only did it for money.

Gohan might not care enough but let's assume he sees it as training which he wants to do.

So who does that leave?

I think the exempt universes from last time may participate? It seems like there's potential for them to have fighters as strong as Jiren or just as skilled than Goku.


As for fighters in universe 7? It depends on when it takes place.

If it took place right now in the manga or in the near future, i could imagine:

1. Goku, with his mastered ultra instinct.
2. Vegeta, with spirit control and hakai
3. Gohan
4. 17
5. Piccolo
6. Broly
7. Granolah (assuming he realizes Goku & Vegeta aren't evil)
8. Yamcha
9. Krillin
10. Pikkon

After the End of Z, i could actually imagine Goku sitting it out and wanting Uub to represent the universe in his place.


Also, Golden Frost & Blue U6 Saiyans would be interesting.

Yeah, maybe Granola won't want to fight alongside Freeza, but what the hell, look at that line up, they'll ring out all the other universes at the same time.

Yeah, the previously exempt universes are low hanging fruit for a potential sequel to the TOP. If they ever did decide to go down that route I might prefer it to only include the winning universe of the first tournament to take the other universes on as the event we actually witnessed felt disjointed with too many characters to adequately write for.

Now as to the roster for a potential Team Universe 7 reunion I feel like the three below would be a given.

1. Goku
2. Vegeta
3. Piccolo

If it's a recreational event, however, I can't see the inner core of Goku's group being so compelled to seek out whatever strong characters they can find. Maybe some of them choose to come along for the chance to test their mettle once more in the arena. If a wish is being offered as the prize then Freeza may make a return in the interest of strengthening his position in the cosmic balance of things.

I don't like a villain like Freeza fighting alongside the z-warriors, I would hate a redemption arc for him.

Broly isn't a villain but he can't control himself, he could attack his teammates.

Even though they never mentioned that I believe kids aren't allowed in this tournament so no Trunks, Goten nor Uub in my team.

No humans, unfortunately. I'm mainly going by the manga universe. The second time around the other universes would know what to expect and would be gunning for U7. So anyone lower than Piccolo and 18 would be fodder. Plus we have to go by performance. In the manga, Roshi's the only human that did well.

That's unless the humans learned Kaioken, Shunkan Ido, and possibly some other tricks.

I honestly think the boys and Broly would be included instead of them or possibly even Gas and Granolah, depending on how this arc goes. As for the other universes, IDK. Maybe universe 3 will have better cyborgs.

The anime presents a better case for the humans.

17, 18, Buu and all the Super people can go warm a bench.

Even without erasure, they should treat it as a potential threat. One can never trust a gods like that. This should be the most legit team:

- Son Gohan,
- Son Goten (adult),
- Trunks (adult),
- Vegeta,
- Uub (adult),
- Piccolo,
- #17,
- #18,
- Broly.

Oh, and Metamoran fusion should be banned. Gotenks is useless and annoying af.
