That's a great hypothesis! Now there's some hope to hold on to.
I love those reversible covers!
They do look very nice indeed.

I like it that they use old art in the covers instead of the very poorly redrawn ones used for FUNi's remastered DVD sets.
But I feel kind of uncomfortable about the title "Devolvedme a mi Gohan (Return my Gohan)." "Return My Gohan!" has been largely spreading as the official title for DBZ movie 1, but it's actually bullshit spread by the Japanese Wikipedia article whose source is an error in Daizenshuu volume 6.

Of course. Though it's important to make the distinction that while they were animated with a full frame, the intended output was 16:9. Though there was of course 4:3 showings as Kei has cited many times.
It's one of those things where I'm happy to have either. Though the full frame is ideal, obviously.

Yes! Dear god, those redrawn covers are hideous.

"Return My Gohan!" is not the actual authentic title of DBZ Movie 1? What is it then?

Dragon Ball Z
No, really.

No, why would it? It's fiction. The strength of the characters is not possible to reach in reality.
I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Will you try to contact Selecta Vision and offer them the original broadcast audio for the DBZ TV series?

I've got all the
movies in their original 4:3 ratio
And i too believe these blurays are just funimation's remaster. For some odd reason, I just find it hard to believe this spanish company would have the capability to remaster from the original film prints. Most of you are commending the cover arts, but to me they just look like they belong on bootlegs lol, just making me all the more sceptical of them having the resources to remaster in 1080p from the original film.
As people have shown already, it's identical to FUNi's blurays. The slight difference in levels and saturation I'd say are to do with its final outputting and also our own playback/capture methods--they don't indicate, to me, a completely new remaster.

As far as I recall, he does for Z, but not for the original DB.

please don't do the same mistake i made i'm already sorry about the mess in the broadcast topic , no one know why he don't release it on the web so we cannot say that it is selfish, if kei don't tell why no one can make a judgment about him or it.
it sure is a big loss to the public but we don't know anything so don't bother him too please.
i heard about project with toei and funi but we have no news about it.
just wait and hope you will (maybe) granted one day

He plans on giving it to Funi/Selecta if they feature it on their next release but seems very unlikely considering Toei would have effectively an inferior version of Dragon Ball Z once this would be out by Funi/Selecta.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, but the original broadcast audio has absolutely NOTHING to with this release which contains movies, not the TV series. It's completely off-topic.
Anyway, I wonder how they dealt with the pitch shift in dub audio caused by the PAL format.

2) They're in talks with Toei Animation for a new DBZ fullscreen TV series release in high definition. But here's the pickle in the cake: SV uses DNR so it might not be nearly as good as Funi's DBZ Level Blu-rays were.
they talk about it because selecta vision (it was tell here) negociate with toei to HD remaster fullscreen of dragon ball z series so it was asked to you

This particular release, no, however, in this topic, it is noted that Selecta Vision is in negociations with Toei to release the DBZ TV series on blu ray in 4:3.

A minor prob if they do release the series in fullscreen on Blu-ray is that for some folks the NEPs are kind of important and they'd likely be shoved to the Extras section. I tend to just end an episode of whichever show as the credits start rolling minus for series that still have some footage coming up (Shameless).

What does full screen and next episode preview has to do one with another?!
