Production cel trouble - What Fight is Child Goku in here?!

Hello, I was flipping through my cel book the other day and I came across one of my cool looking action shots of child goku kicking something. The only problem is...i cant remember what! I thought it was during his fight with young king Piccolo, but it just isnt there. Now i am about to rip my hair out. I scanned through numerous episodes (tambourine, yajirobe) and i cannot find it anywhere! I figured it couldnt be too hard to find since it's a key cel, he takes up the whole frame, and he has his powerpole. But trust me, it's harder than it looks.

People on here seem to be way better experts than myself when it comes to Dragonball, so I figured it was worth a shot to ask on here. I'd greatly appreciate it and it sould totally ease my mind.


So, does anyone have the slightest idea?

Also, maybe this could help me out, do the later episodes, (when he's grown up), have any reanimated flashbacks? If so, i guess it could be there...

I can't place it at all. He appears to be in his 22nd Budokai era design, being a bit taller and leaner and not so round compared to how he was three years prior, meaning it's probably at some point after the Budokai. But he has his Power Pole meaning it can't be during the Budokai, so it has to be during King Piccolo. And that is my weakest arc as far as knowledge goes. Here's a list of fights he had in that arc though:

• 1. Vs Tambourine
  2. Vs Yajirobe
  3. Vs Tambourine again
  4. Vs Old Piccolo
  5. Vs Roshi in the cave when getting the water
  6. Vs Drum
  7. Vs Young Piccolo
  8. Vs Mr. Popo

EDIT: It could be from any of those filler episodes showing Goku's training under Popo, he fought many minor characters than.

Hey, thanks so mucj for the reply! I was thinking it had to be that arch as well. Thanks for the list of fights! Here is what it cant be in that list.

It cant be old piccolo because he has a dragonball around his neck
Or vs mr. Popo because he uses his powerpole to get to him. And doesnt have it while training with him. I searched through what i thought was every frame of the tambourine,drum, yajirobe, and young piccolo fights, so i dont think it is those, but i could of somehow missed it.

However, it could be vs rosho in that cave! Or possibly that ice monster thing that is also in the cave. Thanks for reminding me! I'll have to scan through it.

Try the Shura episode or maybe Uranai Baba arc. Just guessing.

Goku looks really angry and it looks like he's kicking someone/something despite not looking at it and having his attention focused on someone else. If I were to guess, I'd say that's probably somewhere from the Red Ribbon arc. Maybe when he's kicking the stuffing out of random members.

The artstyle of Kid Goku here looks a bit different/higher quality than what I'd expect from the episodes in earlier arcs, it reminds me more of DBZ era.

It could possibly be from a DBZ flashback, a videogame commercial or other more obscure videos.

Yeah I pondered that as well. The only problem is that for a lot of that arch, he wears a pink backpack and at one point he has a hole in his shirt. So it cant be when he destroys the base. But maybe when he's fighting random memembers early on. I skimmed through the muscle tower section and not zip!

In the commercial for "Dragonball Daimaō Fukkatsu" I did find a sequence that looks quite similar in its pose, but does not exactly match the cel:



There is a possibility of it being an in-between animation frame that got cut off by the video or maybe a cel that was unused in the final product.
