The Saiyan ones were only released last month, but I think they were promoted a few months before that (like most Japanese products). Probably a little before July, which was when the Freeza one was released. So at least close to that awkward period of "F" still being in theaters and waiting for Super to start.

If it is, then nothing would make sense. For this "Golden" form to suddenly to /that/ much of a boost is literally unbelievable.

Nothing made sense from the start. Roshi shouldn't be able to take on Freeza soldiers, Piccolo could've wiped out the Freeza force by himself in 2 seconds, and Kuririn shouldn't be having trouble versing them, etc. And besides, going from getting wrecked against normal Goku, to being equal to SSGSS, Golden Freeza was already a GINORMOUS power boost.

Freeza pointed that they were purposely not killing the Freeza men, thus making it much harder for themselves. Why? Probably to give Goku and Vegeta more time to arrive on Earth by dragging the battle out. Also you mention that Roshi shouldn't be able to fight them but then say that Krillin should have no trouble when Krillin himself hasn't fought in years too, so if Krillin can then Roshi can too.

Yes, Freeza said that but it was obvious that the others were doing it too, otherwise they would have been spamming energy attacks to no end, when they only did it a few times during the fight, just like Gohan. It has nothing to do with being out of character or not, they clearly were working with a strategy in play.

Piccolo spammed energy attacks, actually. Tenshinhan and Roshi fired off a bunch of Kikohos and Kamehamehas respectively as well.

Yes, Piccolo would pretty much kill them all and don't give a damn about it... In the end, Freeza destroyed his own army, how pitiful
