Looks like there'll be no shortage of new books in 2016. Four volumes are due out in early January. If I had to guess, I'd say that this'll cover up until the end of the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai. This really sets the tone for, what I'm sure will be, another busy for the franchise. All I have to say is, get your ass in gear, Viz. At the rate they're going, I'll have children by the time I'm able to buy the whole full-colour line in English.
Man, good thing I decided to check the subforum again, because I was in the middle of making a thread about this myself. I guess I'll just paste in what I was going to post:
The only details that I can find so far are that we're getting Volumes 1-4 on January 4th, 2016. If they're the same size as the previous full color volumes, that could easily cover everything up through the 21st Budoukai, and possibly start the Red Ribbon chapters as well. But these are just labeled 少年編 (Childhood Arc, or however you prefer to translate it), which is pretty vague in scope. Who knows how future volumes will be labeled, assuming we do get them.
Obviously the digital version has been around for a while, but I know I've kind of been wanting these physically. Maybe we'll even get some new Q&As out of them too. Another obstacle to keep me from completing my Kanzenban collection though...

^ This. They don't take all that long after the first one comes out, but the rate at which they license and print new arcs is just painfully slow.
Oh man, January just keeps getting more expensive...

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

not another "should I buy" debate to go through my head ahaha. How much space does the japanese full colors take so far? I might get these so I have DB in japanese + color as a bonus and put them ontop of my 3 in 1s
Thought this was for a US Eng release at first and got super hyped but still great news. Not having the DB portion in a physical form is what kept me from buying the Z portion, now I have no more excuses and by the end of it I won't have any money left either.
Now, imagine if VIZ released them. With uncensored art.
That would be amazing.
I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

The recent 3-in-1 didn't (I personally checked), so we'll probably still get Bulma's breasts in all their full color glory. Not to mention, they're very limited as to the kind of censoring they can do in a Full Color edition, as it's a lot harder to edit color pages than it is to do the same to monochrome (thank goodness!). Even the sound effects got left in - and Viz never leaves the original sound effects. They probably only edited Popo because it was very easy to just grab his skin tone and put it over his lips.
Hence, Popo is pretty much guaranteed to continue to be censored.

Yeah, but those were in black and white. We're talking full color ta-tas here, I would be very surprised to see Viz leave them uncensored.
Also, are you positive about those 3-in-1s? I know for sure that the early printings of those still had them censored, are you referring to a later printing?

I checked out the 3rd 3-in-1, the one that contained the 9th tankoubon. The scene were Kuririn leaves Bulma's chest bare was displayed in all its glory. And this is the scene where the nudity is clearest and more in-your-face. If they left that in, then they probably won't censor it again (tatas are tatas, after all, colored or not). Not to mention, as I said before, editing color manga is a lot harder than doing the same to monochrome manga.
I know there were some problems with the first printings of the first 3-in-1volume, but as I recall, all the other volumes were left completely uncensored (save for Mr. Popo, which Viz has repeatedly stated that they find "too offensive" to leave it well alone ).
really looking foward to this release. It be more of a difference to have it than asay the kazenbans when I have the english releese already. Still debating tho lol
