I really really hope so. I also hope that Yamamuro and Tate (with good time) get to work on some fights in the upcoming tournament.Araki wrote:That's great news for this arc. Tate will definitely do some good stuff this arc, Yamamuro will hopefully do an episode in the climax fight.Wezenheim wrote: I really really hope so. I also hope that Yamamuro and Tate (with good time) get to work on some fights in the upcoming tournament.

That cut was one of my favorite segments in that fight. Hopefully Tate gets at least until episode 33 or so in order to make something really nice. I wonder if he'll just be doing a big scene or if he'll get his own episode after 34.

31 is Yūichi Katsusawa.
32 is Naoki Tate.
33 is Seizo Toma.
34 is Yoshitaka Yashima.
Katsusawa worked on Battle of Gods. This will be their first supervisor role, I believe.

Goku vs Botamo is gonna look awesome... if Toma and Tate are given enough time.Ajay wrote:31 is Yūichi Katsusawa.

Good animation rotation for a month. Should be interesting to watch the animation unfolded for 4 episodes. The scripts written by Ryu will help a lot. Yūichi Katsuya for Episode #31 drew some interesting layouts based on the preview.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Animation Staff Discussion
I feel like any episode that has had someone who wasn't a regular on has always been a really stand out episode, so I get the feeling Yūichi Katsusawa will turn out to be a pleasant surprise. Almost a shame he's doing an episode now, and not later when the U6 fights are under way.
Going into a Naoki Tate episode always feels like playing a game of Russian Roulette. A majority of his rounds are a pleasant relief, he can really pull some slick looking stuff out of the bag.. when he wants/can. However, we eventually hit a point sooner or later where we finally get the bullet, and my oh my is it unpleasant. So I'm uneasy about him handling what looks to be the beginning of the tourney. I at least feel guaranteed that while episode 32 may not look 100% pretty 100% of the time, we'll at least get some really nice looking shots of our entrance into U6/the introduction of the fighters (HOPEFULLY).
I'm crazy excited for Seizo Toma coming back. I adore so much of episode 4's animation to death. Especially if we're on Goku vs Botamo at that point. Toma's style sounds PERFECT for that fight.
Not excited about Yashima coming back after (what feels like) so soon, especially if those round 2 rumors end up being true. If he can pull some episode 22 quality bits and shots out of the bag, I will be very grateful/surprised.
So yeah, kind of excited about everything, except Tate and Yashima but hopefully the recap episode helped a little bit in aiding those two, and they're able to pull their best out in the coming weeks.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Animation Staff Discussion
These should be some pretty good looking episodes, although I wish Tate had another week to work on Episode #32. Hopefully they'll both have good animators on hand, but I'm wise enough to know better.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Animation Staff Discussion
I was going to say the same thing about Tate. I don't quite get that, he'd actually get more time to make something look really awesome this time around. Still, maybe there will be some fighting in his episode.
Not particularly hopeful about Yashima in episode 34, I haven't been the biggest fan of his style so far. He has produced some good stuff though, we'll see. I'm also excited for Toma.

The episode descriptions make it sound like the Botamo fight starts on episode 33.JulieYBM wrote:Alrighty, Gokuu is getting both Tate Naoki and Toma Seizou for his fight. Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Animation Staff Discussion
Yashima's role in any series is to quickly get an episode done to buy time for other episodes. It's why he has done so many solo key animation episodes in the past. He has at least forty-four solo episodes in his career, too. Mind you, they likely are not very good at all, but it's the role he is asked to play for the sake of the team and he does it well enough.
