If you want to be serious, then that's not what happened. Episode 34 has Beerus berate Goku for not using his full power against Frost, with Goku stating that he thought he could defeat him by "only using Super Saiyan". SSGSS didn't become blonde, Goku just didn't use it.namekiansaiyan wrote:No way lets be serious here, i think the only change is that blue has turned yellow because they have mastered God ki.

The arc's main promotional image shows both of them using the Blue form so I doubt that's the case.namekiansaiyan wrote:I think the only change is that blue has turned yellow because they have mastered God ki.
Vegeta will probably use it against Kaybe.TheDevilsCorpse wrote: If you want to be serious, then that's not what happened. That's not what he said though.
Beerus: “If you'd fought at full power, it would have been an easy win!"
Son Goku: “W-Well yeah, but... I thought I'd be all right with Super Saiyan, and that made me lose!"
It's a clear implication here.

The Uranai Baba tournament, which had the exact same structure, ran for 8 episodes. Seems like this one will last 7, at least. Not really unexpected, they don't need to fillerize it this time.
Goku clearly said he wasn't going all out when he went only SS. You must have watched bad subs.namekiansaiyan wrote:When Beerus said why didn't you go full power, Goku said but I went Super Saiyan. This could imply he was at full power

God, please no!Wezenheim wrote:EDIT: Tate for episode 38. Nice.
I think this tournament could be even better if have more blood, I mean there are survival matches, why not expect a character almost losing consciousness and still keep fighting, blood on the floor... Wow, I can dream.Lord Beerus wrote:...Or perhaps Vegeta was too gassed by the time he faces him? We'll have to wait and see. All I know is that Monaka/Hit is gonna be one hell of a fight.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
If the tournament is over in ep39, what do you think is going to happen during the remaining 13 confirmed episodes ? A new arc ? something happens during the tournament and they continue the current arc in a different direction ?
For those who don't know, Toonami Asia announced that they have the dubbing rights for 52 episodes so we know for sure that we're getting at least 52.

It's a 9 am Sunday anime so it's more then likely going to go way above 100 but as of now we know for sure that 52 episodes are planned.Onibaku wrote: So Super is confirmed to have 52 episodes?

Woah! So much Vegeta.
Gonna check out who's writing each episode momentarily. Looks like they're not all King Ryû.

If they literally have the rights to 52 episodes, then unless they planned on stopping mid-cour, we'd have to be getting more than that. 4 cours wouldn't reach 52 and 5 cours will likely put us over (by how much depends on how many future breaks).sintzu wrote:If the tournament is over in ep39, what do you think is going to happen during the remaining 13 confirmed episodes ? Anyway, whatever could come after that and whether all the episodes are part of the Champa Arc or not? Who knows. We'll at least be dealing with the fallout of the tournament. There'll almost certainly be a search for the final Super Dragon Ball, etc.

So according to episode 36's summary, there will be a new rule that a contestant loses if they touch the new outer barrier Vados creates.
Also 37's summary says Cabbe can't become a Super Saiyan.

He lead episode 31 with Francis Caneda and Noel Ano-nuevo, too. I really enjoyed that episode, so it's nice to see he's now in the regular rotation.Wezenheim wrote:Karasawa is a new face from World Trigger it seems. It's good to see Super get some help.

No, the other Karasawa, Karasawa Kazuya. He's a animator, director and storyboard artist. His work on World Trigger Episode #23 is pretty good, although it could just be thanks to Koizumi's work as animation supervisor.Ajay wrote:He lead episode 31 with Francis Caneda and Noel Ano-nuevo, too. Their name isn't on that list as a supervisor, though. That's what we were talking about? Unless he was referring to the director and I misunderstood?JulieYBM wrote: No, the other Karasawa, Karasawa Kazuya. He's a animator, director and storyboard artist. So King Ryû for Frost, Koyama for Magetta, then Toshio for Cabba and Hit.
