Chaos is fine. He looks appropriate as a God of Discord, and the Dissidia artwork had to work with the original sprite.

This Cold, on the other hand, is more reminiscent of Lord Nyax from the Star Wars EU.

I'm not saying it couldn't be a "fun" or "cool" design of sorts for use...somewhere, but as a fan of Dragon Ball and an artist myself, this is a complete bastardization of the world's design. (I hate the Cell-X mentioned above for the same reasons.)

For something promoting itself as a proper fan sequel to Dragon Ball, because they thought GT sucked so bad, they're making their own mistakes that are just as bad, if not worse.

I didn't really like this form to be honest. I think the design is cool but it's odd his final form looks like a more monstrous version of his 3rd form...unless there's supposed to be one more resembling his 4th form? I don't think he plans to transform again since he already touched the ring though.

Come on how many times have announced this only to come back the next page . It's like that College Humor video about the guy announcing he's leaving Facebook. The tournament is over 80% done and we've already been through over 1000 pages and several bad specials. There have been a lot of stuff in DBM I didn't like but I don't think I would quit for something that only affects one match.

the design may be exagerated but it's nowhere near as exagerated as your statement right here.

I don't think they ever claimed or promoted themselves as a proper fan sequel, whatever that might be. At most some fans of DBM said something to that effect, saying that they wished it was official and so on.

Also, what people have been negative about has been the theme of the design, which is to be over the top.

Oddly enough, it is bad fanfiction--Buu's bad fanfiction. Remember this was essentially the result of Buu fucking around. I'm actually ok with it on the grounds that Buu is a trolling bastard and would be amused by overdoing it.

I... I actually like it.. It's weird. Maybe it's because it's giving me that Xenomorph Queen vibe? One thing I would change would have to be ditching half of those spikes, they're just not necessary. But... I guess more spikes = more power?

Golden Freeza was designed to mock the Super Saiyan form that caused him so much grief. This...thing has no basis around it whatsoever aside from Salagir doing what he wants. Hell I consider it an insult because not only did it take away Cooler's one unique feature that separates him from Freeza, but it attempted to make Cold way more powerful than he should be to the point of ridiculousness. Making matters worse, this isn't even the aid Buu gave him, which was a sharp tongue against Saiyans.

I guess it's because both are the extremes of AF transformations so they have something common. Golden Freeza is the typical AF palette swap while 6th form King Cold is the complete opposite crazy, monstrous transformation. I still prefer this form though. I remember in a mini comic, it was said that Frost Demons are a reptile-like race so I can see this form being based on some kind of dinosaur-like ancestor.

As we can see here, Coola's 5th form is similar to his second form, with spikes on his back, tail, arms and head. Basically, his 5th form is to his 4th form what his second form is to his first plus spikes.

That's what they gave Cold for his 5th form, giving his own spikes and kind of a crown on his head.

But how would a 6th form be?

Well, if the 5th is kind of like the second, they it makes sense for it to be like the third.

And that's what they did, but, following the trend they gave him spikes, and made him impressive.

And then the 7th form is like a modified version of the 4th form, so if one of their family reaches that level we'd get... ...oh yeah. We already got that one. Golden Freeza!

(Heck, Cold's new form even has lightning. 5th/Super Evolution = their version of SSj... 6th/"Ultra Evolution" or something? = their SSJ2... and as has already been noted by several people, what would be the "7th" form with DBM's new one counted, aka Ultimate Evolution = their take on SSj3, complete with rapid energy drain.)
