Post by Maker777 » Wed Feb 14, 2007 2:28 am

It seems Funimation are bringing Anime to iTunes.
By clicking this link you will be taken to iTunes.
So the question is, Will they be putting up Dragonball?
Your thoughts.

Downloading shows is just stupid... well, in cases like iTunes and such.

Call me old-fashioned, but I like my media as tangible things, like DVD's and VHS tapes, and CD's. Paying for something to download is just dumb... buy the DVD and rip it yourself.

As for them putting up Dragonball, of course they will. It will probably be the biggest selling anime they put up there, if/when they do.

I never understood using your iPod to watch tv shows/movies. I prefer a nice, big television screen.

But whatever Funi feels like doing.
On hiatus.

What are some good converting softwares for putting your DVD's to iPod?

iTunes is much more popular than "GBA video."

In fact, almost everyone I know downloads TV-shows from it. FUNimation putting anime on iTunes is a good move and I'm sure they will get business.

No UMD's as of yet! Haha! But that's as good as dead.
I really doubt they'd do Dragonball on iTunes. It's got too many episodes. Who'd be dumb enough to buy the series that way when they could buy the DVD boxsets and rip those?

I dunno, they are pretty cheap. $2 per episode.

That just supports the case even more. If you have the DVDs and the software to rip them, do just that.

The worst part is that they have even created their own podcast! Is it to rival that of Mike's? A bunch of people talking about how they love the dub,Chris Sabat and widescreen? No. It's a video podcast consisting of previews of their upcoming shows and DVD releases.

Why would you watch a movie in an iPod? The things are way too small for decent resolution, aren't they?

I totally agree. Last time I checked, itunes was selling 'Terminator 2'. You got to be kidding me that you can play play such a movie on a screen just half the size of my hand. The same goes for television shows and anime.

iTunes is completley legit. So buying something from them is the same as buying the DVD. Funi still gets money either way.

Did you ever think people enjoy watching videos on their ipod?

To tell you the truth the only videos I watch on my Itunes or Ipod would be the exclusive video podcasts worth footage you would not be able to get anywhere else.
