Goku Black's clothes bother me

This has been bothering me since Goku Black first appeared. How exactly is he wearing that grey gi/robe thing? Over the red belt thingy, the left side of the robe goes on top of the right side. But under the belt, the left side of the robe goes under the right side. How is that possible?




To compare, the clothes Goku wears after training with Whis, and even GT's clothes, make sense.





So what's the deal with Black's clothes?

Hm, that's quite the odd detail. Maybe it wraps around somehow? I'm having trouble visualizing this in my head so late and it's consistent with Toriyama's artwork, so this is not an animator's choice.

Are we sure its a wrap and not just an open side seam that happens to have his red piece tied over it? I work with shirts and a lot do have open "V" sides to breathe these days.

Black's upper and lower halves are actually from two different alternate universes. He is a nexus between mirrored realities.

Hm, never would've noticed that on my own. I will say that the coolness level of the outfit makes it so I don't care how logical it is.
