I was hoping Freeza would tell us something new about U7 or a part of the saiyans history or just anything that wouldn't be possible with a new villain.

I still don't understand why the decision to switch them back to their original outfits was ever made.

Maybe they're going to get a new form that clashes with their F outfits.

I think it's the boring reason of "more figures to sell" by selling ssjblue toys in their old outfits, unfortunately.

Well, we can certainly hope they'll switch back. Are they popular in Japan like they are here, or does that not affect it (besides the toys thing)?

Goku had worn different outfits for each series. Granted, at the end of Dragon Ball, his outfit is barely any different from what he wears at the start of Z. In Z, he wore five sets of outfits: his orange gi with the turtle hermit kanji, the orange gi after training under Kaio (though Kaio merely changed the symbol), his orange gi arriving on Namek, and the kanji-less orange gi throughout the remainder of Z until the end, where he wears his standard turquoise gi for the Tenkaichi Budokai. Also, if you want to count his Yardrat outfit, that's six. Hell, even in GT, despite it being a different variation of his EoZ outfit, was his standard outfit for that series. His RoF outfit should have been the outfit for Super.

I do too, the old outfits looks so outdated now. If we aren't going to get the RoF outfits at least make new ones.

Most likely not gonna happen unfortunately. The OP now teases SSGSS in their old outfits and ends with them going SSGSS in their old outfits. The "F" outfits are gone

I hope it's just a temporary change. I really loved Goku and Vegeta's ROF attire and I hope it comes back very soon.

I dont think you can really beat Goku's classic costume but Vegeta looked much better with his RoF costume.

I'd like to see new costumes though.

Nostalgia demands for everything remain "classic". It's probably why obsolete shite such as the golden Super Saiyan line didn't get thrown out the window permanently after a couple of arcs spent retiring them.

Honestly, I'm shocked they didn't have Goku & Vegeta use 2 and 3 during the last tournament with the F suits for maximum toy potential.

Huh, I never drew that connection. I always saw it as the next step to his EoZ gi.

Speaking of movies, I do think that we may not get a new movie announcement at all with Super still airing. Also I wonder if Toei feels like they wait to make a new movie once the rest of the world gets Super to avoid spoilers for the casual fans.

In my opinion the only reason we are not getting a movie this year is because toriyama has not come up with the story of a new movie yet as he was/is busy with Super. As soon as he would be able to provide them with a story, i dont see them caring about spoilers for international audience.
