Does anyone like the concept of DragonBall Heroes?
I actually like the series and Beat's character, but it's a shame the series ignored so much about the DragonBall Z series. What do you guys think?

I love the avatars. They all have awesome designs. The game gives some pretty good What-Ifs, but it's only for versions of Super Saiyan, instead of the regular SSJ (such as Pan, Raditz, etc.), which kind of disappoints me.
Also, based on the website, I don't like how they make a card for a character, and then get stuck on making dozens of cards for them for the next few sets. But, that's just me.

This, i understand that having them put 70+ new cards for new characters for each set every 2 months or so it's asking for the impossible, i would like for them to at least put a few more new characters for each set but it looks to me they like to space a lot in those and about the main topic, i LOVE Heroes mostly because of all those what-ifs that has brougth with it.Anime Kitten wrote:I love the avatars. Yeah, SSJB Goku and Vegeta have like 10 cards each (may be exaggerating) while some characters dont have many cards or 'extra' forms at alllike GotenDragotaker wrote:This, i understand that having them put 70+ new cards for new characters for each set every 2 months or so it's asking for the impossible, i would like for them to at least put a few more new characters for each set but it looks to me they like to space a lot in those and about the main topic, i LOVE Heroes mostly because of all those what-ifs that has brougth with it.Anime Kitten wrote:I love the avatars. I don't actually know much about Heroes aside from the brief animated trailers (And that it basically has the same concept as Xenoverse, except with much more characters being made Time Patrollers), it looks like it would be interesting to play if they ever ported it to english and off the arcade machines.
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:

It's a crazy universe with no-rules and where what-if characters and scenarios not only run wild but are pretty much encouraged. I love that Dragon Ball Heroes just doesn't give a shit about established lore and does it's own thin. Sometimes it works (Demon Realm, Xeno Goku/Trunks, Adult Gotenks etc) and some other times it doesn't (Oozaru LSSJ Broly, Bardock, Saiyan Beyond God etc.).

I do like a lot. It explores each and every possibility that the series left opened perfectly. All the what-ifs so far worked and there is a reasonable explanation behind each concept they bring. Dragon Ball Heroes is that kind of place where if you want to see something that didn't happen in the series, then just go there and have fun.

I love the balls-to-the-wall insanity of the character/costume/form/incarnation inclusion, but wish it was something I could play, and in a genre I gave a darn about.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Honestly, my biggest problem is how crazy they go with the "what-ifs," especially with stuff that wouldn't be possible. That, and how they suck up to some characters while giving the middle finger to others like Goten and Pan.

Re: Does anyone like the concept of DragonBall Heroes?
My only real problem is now that they've started this Makai material in the God Mission series, that they never elaborate on the seemingly intended story. There are hints of it in some brief character dialogue (when they include it) and some brief tidbits in character bios for V-Jump, but nothing that doesn't just raise more questions than answers...
For example, two sets back or so, they had the "Birth of Makai" Arc. It was set 75 million years in the past and featured a young Demigra, with his two fellow mages, trying to take Toki Toki from Chronoa (who was still a Kaio at the time). That's basically all we know...which never actually explains how Makai was created from any of the game footage or promotional material that I've seen.
If you're going to come up with these things, don't halfass it.
