What if Dragonball took place in Mexico? Seriously. I mean we replace the "Chinese fairy tale" aspect in favor of a different type of storytelling. Some things would be different and yet some things would be the same. Things like jigoku would become purgatorio just because the idea of hell in Japanese Buddhism is similar to the concept of purgatory in Catholicism. Let's not forget that Mexico was and is a very Catholic country. Even the concepts from Shinto would translate to those of los santos (the saints) in place of the kami. The saints are venerated which is a fancy word for honored as holy beings, just like the kami. How could two cultures be so similar, ain't it wild? Finally the differences would be fewer then the similarities. The attack names would be in Nuhuatl or the old Mexica (Aztec) language.
Kamehameha becomes chimalayotl tepozapilhuamina which is what it would be in the long winded Nahuatl language. I will give a hacienda to the dude who can put that into a shortened form.
So that's about it then. If I can think of more I will add more.
