Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 61
This episode looked as what I expected it to look like given who was involved. It was quite shaky in the art and animation department for the first half, but it was ll passable. The second half though was quite an improvement. The Mafuba training montage in particular looked quite good.
The NEP looks phenomenal.

Yeah, I assume the non Tsuji Miyako corrected stuff in the second half was Nashizawa Koji, his style is nice, he could grow into a good supervisor.
But man, that NEP! Manabe's (or whoever he corrected's) animation looks insane, almost like a pointy Tate mixed with Shida.

The first 5-10 minutes looked pretty bad but I'm glad it stabilized mostly towards the break.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 61
The first half looked really good to me. Whenever someone gets an HD version, I'd like the shot of Bulma in the background with Beerus in the foreground, when she was railing on him.

Nothing in the NEP looks remotely like Yashima, I wonder if he's doing lots of rough animation that is heavily corrected by Manabe.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 61
What we saw in the NEP was mostly action. I think yashima(if it was not a mistake), will do the early stuff in the episode.

Also possible, but whatever he does I feel like it's going to be unrecognizable as him.Sodhi wrote:What we saw in the NEP was mostly action. I think yashima(if it was not a mistake), will do the early stuff in the episode.

I think it will be Yashima getting Vegeta back into the future in the 1st half, and then have Manabe have the fighting in the 2nd half.ArchedThunder wrote:Nothing in the NEP looks remotely like Yashima, I wonder if he's doing lots of rough animation that is heavily corrected by Manabe.
Maybe Ide or Tsuji will do a lot of corrections for Yashima because he'll be busy with 2 episodes? I say that because don't think they'd want Manabe wasting his time on corrections when he has to do Vegeta's big fight.

Honestly the more I think about it, even though Yashima has shown that he can do action he will probably have most of the non action stuff and be heavily corrected by 2nd Key animators and then all of the other animators will be focused on the action.nite_jay wrote:I think it will be Yashima getting Vegeta back into the future in the 1st half, and then have Manabe have the fighting in the 2nd half.ArchedThunder wrote:Nothing in the NEP looks remotely like Yashima, I wonder if he's doing lots of rough animation that is heavily corrected by Manabe.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 61
Fuuuckk got it wrong again. Well then damn, we may see refined yashima.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 61
Yup, that's almost certainly Tate next week:

[/spoiler]
Skipping through, it moves like him, but is definitely corrected by Manabe.
I guess NewType was wrong?

Could be, Yashima in two was really weird. However then who is with ishikawa in 65?. Maybe its just tate helping out, probably not by the amount of work he is putting by the looks of the preview. Maybe its the karasawa situation and he actually is helping out by doing rough work and manabe will correct it.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 61
I don't think Tate will be a supervisor next week, he's probably just doing a bit of animation in someone else's episode like he used to do in One Piece and early in Super (or like Karasawa's been doing). I just hope it doesn't negatively affect 65.Ajay wrote:Yup, that's almost certainly Tate next week:

Possibly, though there are a fair few separate scenes here that are definitely his work. I guess we shall see! I so hope you're right.ArchedThunder wrote:I don't think Tate will be a supervisor next week, he's probably just doing a bit of animation in someone else's episode like he used to do in One Piece and early in Super. Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 61
If NewType was wrong though and Tate is co-supervising 63 with Manabe and Yashima is with Karasawa on 64 then I wonder who would be with Ishikawa on 65, Toma maybe? I dunno, the Manabe corrections on Tate really make me think he's just doing animation for 63 though. His stuff next episode looks awesome though, I've been waiting for some great fighting from Tate this arc, I mean we got a neat little action cut in 47 but it wasn't really a fight and his Vegeta vs Black in 56, while nice, was a little too pedestrian for Tate, though he still managed to make his mark with some cool stuff like this, the NEP for 63 seems like what I've been waiting for from Tate in this arc and hopefully we get something like it in 65 as well.

-Episode 62-
I didn't have much expectations after seeing the NEP last week, but FT Trunks new form vs Black was still disappointing.
Not a single ok fight scene. I was hoping Futoshi Higashide would come and save the fight, but looks like even a Superhero like him needs his week off.
Guess I have to wait for next episode that looks awesome.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 61
Disappointing episode but when has Kitano not disappointed so not at all surprised. As for Nashizawa, he isn't impressive either, the 2nd half was just about OK. I don't think he would be a good supervisor.
NEP has Tate in it which has me excited as well as worried. I hope it's just rough work nothing else, I don't want #65 to be affected. It's the big episode I'm waiting for.
