The only DB villain that had good motives was Vegeta, because he wanted to kill Frieza for destroying his world.
Vegeta wanted to kill Freeza even before he knew that he destroyed Planet Vegeta. Vegeta was an Emperor of the Universe wannabe who wanted to used the Dragon Balls to gain immortality, kill Freeza, and take his place as ruler of the universe.
