Wouldn't it had made more sense to turn Future Trunks into a SSJG before his trip?

I mean, now for some reason, Future Trunks has a blue god ki along with his SSJ form. The heck did that come from? From sparring with Goku or what?

It would have made more sense if Goku, Vegeta, present Trunks, Goten, and Gohan/baby Pan would have came together to turn Future Trunks into a SSJG. Red hair and all. Now you have a more sensible origin as to how SSJ Future Trunks has blue god ki with him

SSG isn't supposed to be a permanent form.. Goku is an exception and the only one to take on a full god form and absorb it's power on his own..
No guarantee trunks will be able to do that.. and there is no need.. apparently just keeping your ki inside and whis telling vegeta made him god anyway..

Why would they go with a temporary form with no guarantee instead of Vegeta showing him more powerful one..
Trunks trained with vegeta for an unspecified amount of time..
Mostly it's that time trunks would have learnt the basics of it..

How did Vegeta show Future Trunks a more powerful one? Future Trunks just turned SSJ2 the whole time except when he got so angered and got blue god ki with him. Vegeta imbued him with it?

We can pretty much assume, that a lot of training between Vegeta and Trunks happened offscreen, it would make sense for me this way.
