Would Super had been better if Toyo created a manga and Toei adapted it
because aside from a few things, the manga has better pacing, better visuals , better writing and the characters are better written imo.
I guess it might be because of all the hate episode 66 has brought to the show, many fans are dropping the entire series. This feels more hated than 5, which had nothing going for it.
I really wanted super to be well recieved, I have enjoyed every arc except rof but I feel like I'm the only one. I'm glad it's getting good ratings maybe the younger generation will keep it going because this show feels more geared towards them.
What do you guys think?

Well yes.. I think it would be helpful if Toyotaros manga came first and the anime took pointers form it..
But it's not always the case.. some things the anime does better like piccolo vs frost.
It's gonna happen soon though.. Toyotaro is gonna get ahead of the anime after this arc is done.. I am honestly looking forward to the change of pace and quality when that happens

Toyotaro is eventually going to get ahead for the next arc, and the anime will follow the manga more closely.
I always wanted this to happen from the start, because i find it way too chaotic that the manga has its own version of Toriyamas story and the anime a totally different one.

Wasn't there already a time when the manga was ahead of the anime? I believe it was ahead until the anime got to the Goku vs frost fight. But both Anime and manga were still fairly different in how certain events played out.Hit!! wrote:Toyotaro is eventually going to get ahead for the next arc, and the anime will follow the manga more closely.

First of all, the manga does not have better pacing at all. It's never had better pacing.Totamo wrote:because aside from a few things, the manga has better pacing, better visuals , better writing and the characters are better written imo.

Second of all, absolutely no one us actually going to drop the series because of this episode regardless of what they say.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Not necessarily. Dragon Ball Super's problem is the short production schedule and lack of available staff. The writing has been the most solid and consistent aspect of the series.

Well, I wouldn't say that. I've seen numerous people doing exactly this.kinisking wrote: Second of all, absolutely no one us actually going to drop the series because of this episode regardless of what they say.

No, I've actually been seeing people doing this. It's not unrealistic for someone to drop a series because of one episode.kinisking wrote: Saying it, not doing it.

Can't wait for all of them to show up complaining in the next episode.Bansho64 wrote:No, I've actually been seeing people doing this. It's not unrealistic for someone to drop a series because of one episode.kinisking wrote: Saying it, not doing it.

Both are a hit or miss, but the manga fails in being impressive.
I think both parties discussing their opinions and working together would be the best case scenario.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Huh? I gotta say, I don't feel the same way. If anything, I'd want them to be happy just like any other fan. I don't particularly like the anime myself, and I haven't for a while, but I wouldn't wish unhappiness on someone else because they did.emperior wrote: Can't wait for all of them to show up complaining in the next episode.

None of Toyotaro's series are what I'd call "fleshed out". They're limited stories that only hit the broad strokes of what's interesting. They don't feel like full stories whatsoever.

Depends how Toyotaro is in handling weekly schedule otherwise I don't think things will be much different as they are if he stayed at monthly.

Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super should have been done by the teamwork of Toyotarō and Malik_DBNA.Totamo wrote:because aside from a few things, the manga has better pacing, better visuals , better writing and the characters are better written imo.

It would be the best of both worlds. The animation and choreography would improve, and Toei would be able to have longer fights since they'd be expanding the short manga fights

Yes and no. The narrative would be more structured and cohesive, but at the same time, you would have Toei pulling the same shit they did when they originally adapted the Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga and have one chapter being stretched out into a one or sometimes even two episodes, with the occasionally filler arc to give the manga time to get ahead. I really don't wanna go back to those days with Dragon Ball. I'm already dealing enough with that shit in One Piece.
