I wasn't expecting a complete doom scenario that's for sure.

Trunks and Mai are now the only survivors of their timeline, that's a heavy burden to bear.

I didn't understand what happened for many week's.. I thought it was just fine.. just some time ago I realized what exactly happened..
This was way dark than I expected it to be.. trunks future is gone completely and he failed In the worst possible way.. everything is destroyed..
It would be less dark if he stayed in present but that didn't happen either..

Does someone want him to come back to present and stay here? I do.. ft has blue hair so it wouldn't be a problem for distinction

Definitely!
The tone shift rivals the one we had with Piccolo Daimao arc debut back then. Maybe it was even bigger, because even the NEP soundtrack changed this time.
We had Goku and Vegeta talking about pacifiers, and then in the next scene FT Trunks running away while we get shown his world destroyed.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Oh yeah. The serious tone really caught me off guard. Especially, with the ending. Holy shit. That ending.

Once Zamasu cut that dinosaur in half I knew this arc was going to get edgy.

I didn't expect all those characters to end up dead and wiped from existence. It was a disappointing ending. Surprising ending, but disappointing.

The arc itself though I enjoyed. I just didn't care for the ending much.
On hiatus.
