Does the Future Trunks arc leave an impact in the series?

I would say yes. From what I think in my opinion this like the King Piccolo Arc. As in its a complete tone shift from what we are used to.
The Last Jedi is a terrible movie

It made Super suck less.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

I'd say so, yeah. The cast are now gonna deal with the fact that they can't already rely on outside help, and more specifically the Gods, to completely fix their problems. I mean, just look at the stunt Omni-King pulled of when Goku summoned him to help take care of Zamasu.

I don't see how it does.

Just how did Zamusu and Black impact anything?

What happened in the Future Trunks arc that has any lasting effect on Super?

Goku and co didn't get any new skills, transformations, etc.. A lot of inconsistencies, horrible power scaling (how is Trunks on par with Goku, Vegeta, Zamasu, and Black?), no explanations for Trunks' transformation and genki dama sword, and where's the freaking feats, blood, and battle damage?
I love Dragon Ball so much that I'm constantly complaining about how horrible Super is.

Black Goku / Future Trunks saga... was/is garbage.

Top 5 Favorite DBS Characters = Beerus, Whis, still waiting on the last 3 lol...

We got two Omni-Kings. And Trunks's original timeline was technically destroyed. Those aren't much, but it's more than RF or the tournament could say.
I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

I don't really think it let an impact unless your fanboy that's only into nostalgic or being part of my childhood stuff.

Let's see:

-Introduction to Universe 10
-We learn about Time Rings
-We learn that a Hakaishin's power does not obey our preconceived laws of time travel
-Introduction to Daishinkan who is also Whis and Vados' dad
-We learn about the first time traveler, who is from U12 (Manga)
-Goku learns the Mafuba
-We learn that Vegetto has a time limit
-Apparently Zeno's power exceeds the wishes of the Super Dragon Balls
-Now we have 2 Zenos

I'm sure there's a lot more. In short, this arc gave us more than what the BoG arc and the RoF arc together gave us.

Mistake, the first time traveller is from Universe 12.

The production really improved so from that perspective it did.

In terms of a major in-universe impact, we'll have to wait and see what we get in the upcoming arc(s) to say for sure.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Just a typo, thanks a lot for pointing that out!
I guess I can't get the thought of Universe 6 team playing baseball with Yamcha out of my mind :P
