Goku and Vegeta fight for the 15 episodes left.

DON'T EXPECT COMPLEX SETTINGS, DRAGON BALL NEVER HAD SUCH COMPLEX STUFF.

(and the lack of Beerus in that flyer it's really suspicious of his own credibility)

Why would you expect them to? Sure, this may be the biggest event we've had in a long time, but I'd still wholeheartedly expect Goku and Vegeta (but mostly Goku) to shine majorly.

Not when they grant you incomes. Find a working trope and repeat it, that's japan way.

Why would you expect them to? Sure, this may be the biggest event we've had in a long time, but I'd still wholeheartedly expect Goku and Vegeta (but mostly Goku) to shine majorly.

I think they will and this could be the start of the show changing direction.

Also before the tournament starts I want to see them all training and maybe with Whis and Beerus.

Nah, Pokemon fanbase can get it either

If that happened it would be the best dragon ball thing ever. If it is a battle royale it would be so crazy and it would be like Fairy tail's Grand magic games but 4 times the amount of people. The fighting combinations between characters would be great along with the general interactions.

Not really, that could be potentially dangerous as the gap of some fighters in the team are enormous thus leading to them killing each others with deflected Ki Blasts.


About the new arc: So is then confirmed is the Multiversal Tournament Arc? Oh come on, this can't be the end

After everything with Trunks in the last arc I don't know why anyone would doubt how Toriyama could use other characters.
Sure Goku and or Vegeta will probably get the final fight, But they're the main characters and the only final person they've even taken out in this show is Freeza. Some characters will get a chance to shine, others might not get much of a chance, but I think overall we'll probably see a healthy balance on the usage of characters for this arc.

Another tournament sounds boring unless they can somehow mix in something fresh.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but for now I remain unimpressed.

That's of course could happen (and from preview titles apparently Gohan get even more screentime and chances to grow), but I'm almost sure:
no 12 universe tourrnament with 120 characters (how much does it last? 500 episodes???)
no Battle Royale 10 vs 10 (too complex to told)
no incredible wars like a Gundam saga, with cutscenes of each damned chara fate (too complex to follow and no need for)

So far Super tried to simplify things. Zamasu destroyed all mortals and gods in an universe and we see it? No.
Maybe this arc will end to be the greatest one ever, but please: think Pareto Principle: get the most by doing the less. That's Super.

I am HYPED for 17 being back, most of all. That's so cool, to see 17 finally besides, really besides, the Z Warriors. And yeah, this looks like Universal Tournament. I'm curious to see Gohan back, too, although not as much. The new characters will be fun, and I'm also pretty much here for Twin Zen-Chans.

I just hope not all 12 Gods of Destruction are just different types of cats. This being Toriyama though, I wouldn't rule it out.

17's return is the thing I am most excited about. I've been dying for him to return to the fray for so many years and I can't wait to see how he interacts with the new characters (Beerus, Whis, Jaco, Tights, Champa, Vados etc.)

Now, that's quite reasonable. Even if I think not all the character shown will really fight or have an active role,
No hint cyborgs or Roshi or even Buu or Piccolo will fight. And my wild guess they will not entirely (or get wiped out in a preliminary, rushed phase just broadly told).
I just want for people to lower expectation to avoid feeling cheated later and enjoy Super simplicity as it was.
