I want the opening video to fit the tournament, so it should focus on all fighters and not just Goku.Lord Beerus wrote:A new OP pretty much confirms that Super is not gonna finish after this arc, like a few people have assumed. Maybe, but I hope not. I really want Toriyama to test himself and make as many characters as possible so we can get 10 fighters per universe for a total of 120 fighters.Lord Frieza wrote:Is anyone else thinking there's going to be a universe that turns up with just one fighter?

Just one guy with extreme power and/or an extremely efficient technique, to the point where the God of Destruction deemed bringing nine other people unnecessary? I don't think so, but I really hope so.Lord Frieza wrote:Is anyone else thinking there's going to be a universe that turns up with just one fighter?

Let's be real though... at the end of the day, the universe that have the main cast in it will survive. I mean, given when Super is set, I can't imagine any other kind of ending, unless Toriyama isn't taking the end of the manga into consideration.Kanassa wrote:You acting like all the universes will be wiped out, while possible, it's more likely that only some will be to lay on the pressure.Lord Beerus wrote:A new OP pretty much confirms that Super is not gonna finish after this arc, like a few people have assumed. Maybe when Zeno destroys a universe it's the same as Beerus killing Zamasu and creates a new timeline. Wouldn't that make it possible for U10 to be destroyed even if it was intact when they traveled to the future with the time ring?Kanassa wrote:Gowasu and Zamasu travelled forward in time, past when the tournament would take place and found Universe 10 still intact.ekrolo2 wrote:Universe 10 survives for sure? If he'd take the EOZ into account, it's likely he'd take into account the scene that was a turning point in his previous villain.ekrolo2 wrote:I doubt Toriyama thought of this when that scene was written.Kanassa wrote:Gowasu and Zamasu travelled forward in time, past when the tournament would take place and found Universe 10 still intact.ekrolo2 wrote: Universe 10 survives for sure? Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
if Zamasu survived he very well could've fought since he's as strong as post absorption God Goku. You might say Gowasu would forbid it since he's his replacement as Supreme Kai of U10 but if the whole universe were to get annihilated anyway, worrying about replacement Kaioshin for it shouldn't be much of a priority.nitwit wrote:Better question? Considering the fact Super has some of the shittiest continuity, maybe THE worst out of anything DB related I really doubt we're gonna spare U10 just because of that one scene with Zamasu.Kanassa wrote:If he'd take the EOZ into account, it's likely he'd take into account the scene that was a turning point in his previous villain.

Zeno could have a mission in a future arc and who gets it done gets their universe back.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Does it? So far it's been very good with continuity, it's just plot-wise only a few of the things remembered aren't just thrown away.ekrolo2 wrote:Considering the fact Super has some of the shittiest continuity, maybe THE worst out of anything DB related I really doubt we're gonna spare U10 just because of that one scene with Zamasu.nitwit wrote:if Zamasu survived he very well could've fought since he's as strong as post absorption God Goku. It randomly drops concepts and potential things in and out for no good or adequately explained reason and shits the bed something fierce whenever it tries to tie into Z. KKs absence thus far is the prime example. Sometimes it even says things that are blatantly contradicted like how in one episode Blue is taxing on a persons stamina then later on is better than Mastered Super Saiyan in terms of ki control.Kanassa wrote:Does it? You mean KioKen? They explained why it's not used more often, it's extremely straining on the body when already in a transformed state, which is why Goku's body already started getting mangled when using it against Hit.ekrolo2 wrote:KKs absence thus far is the prime example.

And that doesn't make a lick of sense because Goku mastered Super Saiyan to the point where it was little more than a really powerful version of his base form. The recton of MSS to prop Blue up is both annoying and makes no sense as an explanation.Kanassa wrote:You mean KioKen? When it said Blue gives you perfect ki control, how does a form take a good toll on your stamina but give you simultaneously perfect ki control to combo it with a stressing technique like KK?Kanassa wrote:When did they say it stopped being taxing on the body?

That doesn't change the fact that Kioken is still straining. Even if mastered, it's still being applied on top of Super Saiyan. This isn't retconning MSS.ekrolo2 wrote:And that doesn't make a lick of sense because Goku mastered Super Saiyan to the point where it was little more than a really powerful version of his base form. Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Old Kai says Goku can't combo KK on regular SS because SS is an emotionally unstable form which is bull shit of the highest order to anyone who remembers how easily Goku can use in Z after mastering it. Its a pretty blatant retcon.Kanassa wrote:That doesn't change the fact that Kioken is still straining. Even if mastered, it's still being applied on top of Super Saiyan. This isn't retconning MSS.
Its a contradiction because the form is apparently taxing but you can control its power perfectly enough to combine another taxing technique on top of it. Okay, if the form gives the user perfect ki control, then they can command how much or how little energy it saps, so which is it? Is it taxing or 100% controllable?Kanassa wrote:I'm not seeing the contradiction.
