Non-thread-worthy discussions
Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions
Why do I get the feeling Toriyama forgot how old Bulma was during the Android arc? I can't count the amount of times she referred to herself as a "Young Mother." At 31, you'd call a mother young if her child were, say, 12 or 13 yeas old, but her first son was an infant, meaning she had him at the age of 30. Some young mother

I think it's more likely that Bulma was being self-aggrandizing. Even to this day, she brags about how beautiful and young she looks.Rukawa11 wrote:Why do I get the feeling Toriyama forgot how old Bulma was during the Android arc? Why this tread was locked?
I know it is 1 year old and such, but what's the problem if could still lead to discussions?

The administration generally frowns on necroposting. They probably wouldn't mind if someone started another thread with a similar purpose.Noah wrote:Why this tread was locked?

Is there any official product with Base Gogeta? Video games, card games, anything? Cause I think he might be the only case of a character having SS (and multiple forms of it) but no Base form present anywhere.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

I find it absolutely hilarious that the Dragon Boxes are so highly valued in the English fandom, and with outrageous prices to show for it. Meanwhile, the exact same footage is readily available on Netflix in Japan. There's a certain romantic cruelty involved there that I can't help but fall in love with.

His base form appears for seconds when you get killed playing as Gogeta in Buu's Fury, if that counts.ekrolo2 wrote:Is there any official product with Base Gogeta? Video games, card games, anything? Why did Cell grow so strong by adsorbing, only a few thousand people, I can't find a way to justify such a large growth in power, in such a short time span, did he multiply their strength against his?
I just can't comprehend that way of growing stronger.
It logically shouldn't work, with a being of Cell's strength

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions
Why not? We don't know how Cell was created. What we know is that human vital energy are essential for his development and evolution of his body and to have power enough to surpass the androids and absorb them next.

The people were food. Cell was not like Buu. When Cell absorbed people, he was basically eating them. And he needed to eat to reach his full maturity since he had regressed to fit the time machine. By the time Cell found the androids, he had already enough people to be pretty close to his full maturity as Imperfect Cell.Gog wrote:Why did Cell grow so strong by adsorbing, only a few thousand people, I can't find a way to justify such a large growth in power, in such a short time span, did he multiply their strength against his?

His absorption of #17 and #18 were different. In their case, Cell actually took them whole into him, kind of like Buu. With humans, Cell just sucked them dry of every cell in their body.
In short, Imperfect Cell was basically a vampire regarding humans.

But now I wonder... Semi Perfect Cell threatens to absorb (eat) Super Vegeta with his tail. If he actually managed to do that would he become quite stronger?

He would become stronger because it would have been high quality cells he would be eating but, once again, Cell doesn't work like Buu. Cell would just be eating him, which means that the difference wouldn't be nearly as big. The only two that Cell can actually absorb, not eat, because he was made with that in mind, are #17 and #18. The rest are just eaten, sucked dry.Noah wrote:But now I wonder... Semi Perfect Cell threatens to absorb (eat) Super Vegeta with his tail. So you may think that Cell managing to absorb Goku in his perfect state in GT was bullsh**?rereboy wrote:He would become stronger because it would have been high quality cells he would be eating but, once again, Cell doesn't work like Buu. Obviously. It not only makes Cell work like Buu, but, if it could ever work like that, there would be no point in Cell focusing so much on the androids. Piccolo, by himself, was as strong as #17, so, right on their first battle, Cell would have the chance to get a replacement to #17. And once fighters much stronger than the androids show up, Cell would have the chance to try absorbing fighters even stronger than them. Makes no sense.Noah wrote:So you may think that Cell managing to absorb Goku in his perfect state in GT was bullsh**?rereboy wrote:He would become stronger because it would have been high quality cells he would be eating but, once again, Cell doesn't work like Buu. Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions
I only have two things in mind right now.
1. Wouldn't be cool to have a basketball filler episode as well?, anyone?, just me? ok.
2. I kinda want a superxGT crossover, i really dig into Goku reacting to himself and more.

Is there a particular reason everyone (who's not on here) thinks EoZ is just an anime only setup for GT?

This is the same fanbase that unironically believes being strong equals being a good character.
Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions
That's some pretty deliberate ignorance since I don't see anyone do this for any other part of the story. If anything, everyone blindly assumes the anime is representative of the manga in every way rather than selectively picking and choosing what's there and what's not.Doctor. wrote:Ignorance?ekrolo2 wrote:Is there a particular reason everyone (who's not on here) thinks EoZ is just an anime only setup for GT?
