This is the kind of thing I would have just posted up on the homepage if it were 1999 or so, but I do realize that doing such an action only encourages more of it, and it just makes the site look low-class.
So I'll share it here, where we're all low-class, anyway!
Perhaps I'm missing something, but I find a bit of irony in someone
(1) not listing their name,
(2) not listing their e-mail address,
(3) not listing a location,
(4) not listing a website... anonymously posting on a website's guestbook to berate someone over a... lack of... a "life"...?

I actually haven't seen that thread; I don't look at the boards over there, anymore. I used to during the Budokai 3 and Sparking! days, but I just didn't find much helpful stuff after that.
I feel pretty honored, though. I love all the things people say about the site that are just flat-out wrong... it's like the "I Hate VegettoEX" fanclub has spawned a new generation, and this generation is even further removed from understanding why they hate me in the first place.

Everyone should ignore GameFAQs forums. Well, let me rephrase that. Ignore certain parts of it. The place is full of "Japanese Goku sounds so gay liek a gurl lololololol" and "fr i e za's dub voice is great lolololol" people.
Just stay away. I actually lol'd at the comments towards you VegettoEX. I don't understand what the problem is. Why can't you say Saiya-jin? Not like it's the proper wording or something...

Ah yes, the Gamespot/FAQ forums. They're certainly a "diverse" crowd. I'll give my input here & there (currently regular the Blue Dragon forum), but I just learned to stay away from the Dragon Ball-related ones as much as possible or even the forums in general.

Yeah, those GameFAQs-people sure are "A LOT" smarter than EX. I mean, look at this guy:
He's one of those people that would have Frieza 100% at 12,000,000 instead of 120,000,000 and Super Saiyan Goku at 15,000,000 instead of 150,000,000.
120000000? Riiiiiight.... Anyway, yeah, that guy needs to find something better to do than randomly bash other people for no reason.

There's nothing inherently wrong with ANY forum, because anyone from anywhere is open to joining and contributing. I think one of my problems with forums (including this very forum I'm typing on right now), is that they all develop their own culture, and "forum culture" for individual forums is becoming even more and more of an abstraction of the general internet culture. It gets to the point where you simply can't communicate with people, anymore, if they're not already in your "in-crowd".
That's why I have a problem with a lot of the weird jokes that go on in the "Introductions" area, and why I've made it clear that I might close that off. I want things to be as open as they can, while still following the general rules.
And by-the-by, I'm not asking anyone to be silly and go over there and "defend me", or anything. That's just lame. I just like pointing out instances where Daizenshuu EX is mentioned elsewhere on the 'net, and people have this silly idea that either word will never get back, or that I don't actually look at referrals in the traffic logs.

I have a memebership at the GameFAQs forums only because they have a Mexico forum area and that's kind of cool to go there after hanging out with you all (great people you all are). I will flay him, make rope from his entrails, and put his head on a stake in the ground as a warning to other moronic twats. I will then point out that he should learn proper grammar when uttering curses and oaths of revenge.

Yeah... I'm not asking anyone to do anything. I'm simply sharing. Again, I simply find it amusing when people have these types of conversation and live under the delusion that no-one involved will ever read it. Alas, such as the anonymous intarweb.

My guess is that they think that by being "disconnected" from the internet, maybe from the same type of things that you dislike about internet culture (rightly so), that they therefore do more in real life as opposed to that, and consider that their "life".

I don't see how participating in online discussions with people who share your interests automatically means you fail at life. It may mean you fail at
talking to people, but that can be fixed...by FORCE!

Yeah, recently I have wanted to try to participate more in discussions but I feel like I don't know a lot of the "jokes". I'm not on all that much, but most of you guys seem pretty swell.
So damnit all let me participate!

Well, that's what it actually states in the Daizenshuu, which is why that guy's statement really makes no sense (as if Mike has a history of not checking sources...).

All of these jokes start with a comment and we all build it up together. Mostly we produce them in the introductions forum, so if you are active there and greet people, you will find most of the jokes.
So everyone is welcome to help making up jokes or contribute to a joke (well mostly it's stories, but funny ones). If you don't get the joke, you can ask. We won't bite!
But what I want to get through here is that in the introduction forum we try to get a nice athmosphere, both for old and new members. I think this introduction forums is helluva lot better than other forum's introduction forums. at least in ours people greet new members.

Well I'll just say basically that I've noticed that these types of "cultures" seem to stem from the more "mainstream" and well known web sites. I could give you guys a list but I think you already know what I mean. I've been to obscure sites: (places that most 14 year olds wouldn't bother caring to go to) and was able to talk much easier on these kinds of forums with a very open minded community and very kind and intelligent people.
This site meets those standards as well, hell I'd go as far to say it damn well surpasses them. Overall everyone here is just a little bit more open and understanding of other's opinions and able to have a conversation that doesn't consist of SSJ3 Goku and SSJ3 Gotenks and Majin Boo and lots of +, -, =, <, and >.

"What do you get when you cross an owl with a bungee cord? My Ass... ah ha ha ha."-Master Pain (Betty)
"Remember children, if you are walking on your way home and you see a downed power line, eat a lot of hot dogs very quickly." - Takeru Kobayashi on snl.

Exactly. Try finding half as many sane people over at Gaia who can handle a decent conversation.

Dear, dear, dear.
This person's filled with so much anger and frustration; these are the type who constantly look to take others down, and spoil their fun. They may not seem like it when you meet them, but deep down they are depressed, lonely, and without reason. That's the way my uncle is... he takes piss out of my endeavours and tries to make me feel bad about myself. And let me tell you: he's the most unhappy guy you'll ever meet. This anonymous person has
definitely had a bad childhood...
In fact, I feel sorry for him (or her). What's wrong with doing something you love?
I hate to say it...
BUT
THIS PERSON IS THE LOSER.
And also, what's wrong with the introduction forums? When we post 'weird jokes', it's only an act- an act to make newbies feel more at home, and to create a nice atmosphere (even when Frankenbell is ripping people to shreds). It's also a way to express ourselves creatively (I know I have a fun time doing photoshop stuff for them). Man, I've had so many laughs at that place...
