is really smart if you think about when someone dies in Goku's team and team 7 loses bye bye Dragonball's
They can not start a war otherwise bye Universe 7 and maybe some team members so they must continue to fight and win the tournament
even if someone dies without risking to piss of the Omniking,Gods,Angels..I mean you have not that feeling oh who cares we have the Dragon

Yes, it's a great idea, no super Dragonballs can be used because if 6 or 7 anyone is destroyed, those are gone, hopefully its the 7 which is destroyed just to have our both versions of dbs gone too..
7 getting destroyed actually has the gravest results, all know Dragonballs go with it

Everyone will live its obvious. Remember we are still in that 10 year time window, and in Z we see everyone in that tournament at the end with Uub, so we know everything will end up fine.

I won't be surprised if Universe 6 goes to waste, or universe 10 for that matter.

Do I think Universe 7 will be destroyed? Probably not

Do I think Universe 6 will be destroyed? Maybe, but not until near the end of the arc

Do I think something sinister will be going on behind the scenes during the tournament? Absolutely. I think we'll see a new villain emerge that could be manipulating things or even using the tournament to gain access to something.

Plus, as far as I know, we only know the consequences of losing. I don't believe we know what the winner gets (aside from existing)

Its a shame they are destroying these universes. Toei could have had our heroes visit them for filler or if Toriyama wanted for an actual arc.

I hate the idea because we haven't even gotten to visit them yet. The most we got were the short trips to Gowasu's house in Universe 10.

That Planet Salad teaser has been dangling for close to a year at this point and I'm already sick of the idea of another tournament so soon that having it be the vehicle that destroys the potential of the story I want to see would leave me deeply disappointed.

Before the tournament, Beerus and Champa collect the Super Dragon balls and leave them in the neutral space or at the 2 Zeno's place and whoever at the 12 universes wins, the God of that universe then wishes the other Universes back as I think the Gods of Destruction will not get destroyed.

I wonder if Toei/Toyotaro will expand on why destruction is the consequence for losing the tournament? You can decide the strongest universe without destroying the others. Is it to create tension for the tournament? or is it part of a bigger plot device?

Universe 7 could still get destroyed. It would open up for an arc where the surviving Z fighters and few other fighters from other universes go search for Zalama, the creator of the super dragonballs, to wish back everything that was destroyed. We're obviously gonna lose 6 of the Super DBs at the end of the tournament, and we have to meet Zalama at some point in the series.
