That doesn't seem to be the case or else it wouldn't say "First he scouts Gohan". You're assuming 77 is a recruitment EP, but it doesn't have to be, it could just be showing what the cast is up to, or re-introducing the sub cast to new viewers. 78 is probably when Goku starts looking for fighters, starting with the most logical choice after Vegeta (Since we know Vegeta is busy).

Yeah, it looks like the match vs Universe 9 is a friendly matchup before the real thing begins, it wouldnt be a surprise either U7 loses to create tension once the tourney begins or Gohan jobs and Goku wins the third matchup if we get multiple 1 vs 1 matchups.

Universe 7 needs 10 fighters, 78 will be all about Goku recruiting the first - Gohan apparently, and people think the tournament is about to start? Lol
If anything, that indicates they're taking it slowly. Imagine if every team member gets one episode. Also, this doesn't mean that U9 chose their fighters already, all we know is that Zen'oh set them against U7.

I'm guessing Vegeta will be the last this time, after Bra is born.

That poster is not a serious poster, just random artwork by Toyotaro with some characters being rangers becuase of Android 17.

We have already been given the official poster weeks ago.

The big confirmation is that he does not want to fight which really is no surprise and this means he probably won't train or get stronger.

He was one of three shown in the opening and he's Goku's first rival so I wouldn't be surprised if Toriyama has a warm place in his heart for him. I wouldn't be surprised.

That preview is a minor clip which also means nothing. The whole new opening is what we need to examine.

More like he's hesitant until he hears the stakes of the tournament. Not sure how you're assuming he won't do anything when he already has been training.

Gohan has not been training only Krillin has been.

When have Toei in the show said that Gohan has been training apart from that time Piccolo which ended up meaning nothing.

That being said, that poster has no piccolo either, and goten and trunks are there, piccolo always does something so it shouldn't be a problem that Gohan isn't there..

It is just random artwork and it has 3 non fighters in it. For some reason people think this poster means that Piccolo, Gohan, Buu, Tien and Buu are going to do absolutley nothing even though they are apart of team Universe 7.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that the preview makes it seem like the tourney might be 3v3, so I wrote my posts with that in mind. I'm probably wrong though, I guess we'll see in due time.

It's irrational to think that he just stopped training after that ? Why would he suddenly want to start training for his family and then just give up? Nothing has indicated that he stopped so the best assumption is that he continued.

To be fair we haven't seen anyone train except goku and Vegeta, we just don't assume piccolo and tien stopped training so why for gohan when it's clear he has absolutely no problems maintaining his super Saiyan state now and can hurt SS Goku

I hope its a warmup match, but they will show a bit of seriousness because both Zenos will be watching the fight, U7 loses, Goku realizes how much he fucked up by agreeing in part of this and likely tells Whiss to train the Z-fighters to be in top shape for the tourney?

eh, since goku visits omni king next episode , omni king tells him he have to fight universe 9 and gives him time to recruite ppl?
why you automaticly assume it will be in that episode?
