I made a comparison with episode 1, the difference is not huge, the filter seems much less intense than in the preview. Maybe the RAW i used is bad?

You make not personally like what has been done, but that doesn't make it inherently bad.

Crushed blacks are an objectively bad thing for picture quality, there's literally no room for debate there. What is up for debate is whether or not the palette itself is improved by this filter (I say it is). However, it's not worth it. If they wanted to innovate, they should have done in genuinely, this filter is a cheap, detrimental band-aid.Cursemark505 wrote:But this is a completely subjective issue.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 76
I found a video that showed some of Masahiro Shimanuki's work on ROF, its very reminiscent of his work on #25. I thought the video itself was decently accurate, probably the best they had produced.

Speaking of Shimanuki, I think it's been pretty much confirmed that he'll probably only be doing supervision work for his episodes here on out. Not that I'm arguing against it, but since his been conistently given five weeks to supervise episodes, it's seems that will probably be continuing for the rest of Super.

Tate did the wolf scene in the op so I hope he does that fight in the episode as well, instead of just supervising . But he recently worked on the OP so might be rushed. If so, then get ready for "Taytay memes" and "Does Tate suck" debates.
Feel free to correct me if I say something wrong.

Maybe, but I think Tates next episode should be a little more polished now that his work in the OP is done, and the fact that he hasn't appeared in other episodes is also a positive sign.BakaManiaHD wrote:Oh i see. Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 76
So with episode 79 we will have a more clear idea on the schedule's state?
I really, really hope all the fights of this U7 vs U9 warm up will be on model with good animation. And hopefully they will be reusing the opening cut of Goku vs Basil.

Good: Two Wanpack episodes in a row, with two big talents (Tate and Manabe)
Bad: WHERE THE FUCK IS KARASAWA?! He did'nt provide animation neither in episode 72, nor in the opening, and is not supervising the first fight of the arc, while Manabe, who had 6 weeks, is gonna do one. Is he gone from the series?...

I think his saying that because the fanbase would probably respond negatively a to a fight breaking convention right out the gate.iAnimationLover_ wrote:emperior wrote: I really, really hope all the fights of this U7 vs U9 warm up will be on model with good animation.

2 Wanpack episodes? They usually do very polished episodes, right?Psykomatik wrote:Good: Two Wanpack episodes in a row, with two big talents (Tate and Manabe)

They are outsourced episodes, to my understanding at least, the quality they produce varies.emperior wrote:2 Wanpack episodes? They usually do very polished episodes, right?Psykomatik wrote:Good: Two Wanpack episodes in a row, with two big talents (Tate and Manabe)

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 76
Looks like Tate is handling the Majin Boo vs. Basil fight. Back in Z, Mr. Boo's fights always felt quite stiff, so I'm excited to see what Tate will be able to do with this fight! After all, Boo's magic abilities and body that resembles gum should make him one of the characters with the most potential for crazy movement. Perhaps Tate will draw some inspiration from his One-Piece work. After all, Luffy also stretches like gum. The fact that he's being supported by Wanpack is also nice. Tate and Wanpack (and some regular animators) were able to make the awesome episode 38 together, despite the schedule, so now that the schedule has improved somewhat, I'm excited to see what their combined efforts will result in this time!Sodhi wrote:#78

I'm also excited to see what Manabe's episode will be like. I really like episode 63, which was supervised by him and Yashima, and now that he's being supported by studio Wanpack, this episode might be even better than his parts from 63. It will only have been 5 weeks since his previous episode, but he did not do any key animation of his own on episode 75 (he just supervised), so I don't think it will have too much of an impact on episode 80.
I wonder what Shimanuki's episode will be like. Newtype doesn't list any other supervisors besides him, and it's only been 5 weeks since his last episode, although he didn't do too much on that episode. Hopefully he will have some good animators working under him, like Futoshi Higashide and Jin Inaba. If so, we potentially have three really nice looking action episodes in a row!
As for predictions for after episode 81:
I think episode 82 might be a downtime episode. 79 will be Boo vs. Basil, and I'm guessing 80 will be Gohan vs. Lavenda and 81 will be Goku vs. Bergamo, and so I think episode 82 will be a downtime episode. I think Hiroyuki Itai will be the supervisor of 82. Then, I think Karasawa will be the supervisor of 83, potentially with Shida and/or Ken Ootsuka animating for the episode as well. After that, I think Koji Nashizawa will supervise 84. I'm not going to predict any further for now, as it would be random guesswork.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 76
Calm down. Karasawa is using his time. After he worked in episode 57 with pretty standard animations. He worked on World Trigger opening, then he came back in episode 66 doing some corrections in the beam-struggle scene. An then he did Key animations after Zamasu got that big arm to Vegito's first debut in Super.Psykomatik wrote:Good: Two Wanpack episodes in a row, with two big talents (Tate and Manabe)

And that is so minimal for me. I'm predicting that his upcoming episode will be a super consistent one. With him providing his corrections all over the episode, and some nice actions cuts (or maybe A LOTS).
Well, I think he's gonna be a single supervisor.
You know that they're trying to fix the schedule now, and 12+ weeks for an action episode is needed. But, DBS had already broken that rule a long time ago. So, I hope seeing him as a sole Supervisor is a good thing. And like other animes, they got more than 12 weeks to make an episode.
