To each their own my friend. I'm looking forward to how Goku acts after he learns Zeno will blow up the losing team's universe. That will end the discussion when determining whether Goku gets more blame or less blame. for this mess.Ki Breaker wrote:Last week was perfect for me..omaro34 wrote:Last week was a bit of a slow episode, hopefully tonight we see more tension between Goku and Beerus.

If you're hyped Gohan getting back into action, I'm sure Gohan will beat his opponent down. They wouldn't choose him just to humiliate him.kinisking wrote:Today will be a slow episode too. Just over an hour to go and then its the grand opening of the Tournament of Power.
I don't care that their might not be any fighting, I just want to see the gods in all their glory! Hopefully we wont waste too much time with getting Gohan and Buu on board.

This isn't the tournament, this is a mock tournament to show future Zeno what it's like.Lord Frieza wrote:Just over an hour to go and then its the grand opening of the Tournament of Power.

No, it won't. His reaction does not factor into the blame game.omaro34 wrote: That will end the discussion when determining whether Goku gets more blame or less blame. for this mess.

So you don't consider the warm up fight as part of the event?ArchedThunder wrote:This isn't the tournament, this is a mock tournament to show future Zeno what it's like.Lord Frieza wrote:Just over an hour to go and then its the grand opening of the Tournament of Power.

Also is this the only warm up match? As it stand their should be 6 matchs to start with which will cut down half the universes. Then 3 matchs, then their are just three left so the last fight is going to be a three way or someones going to have to fight two universes one after the other. Getting rid of U9 this early mean we only get 5 starter matchs and U7 cannot compete until they have finished and it would be a shame to waste a whole universe on a 3 v 3 match when the rest will be 10 v 10.

Go right ahead. I really don't care. Not my fault you're so invested in a fictional character.kinisking wrote: Okay, but most people here have Dragonball as their number one anime. Things like that are different because I care about Dragonball and it's characters more. My favorite was ace too. Although having him die was sad, it was a powerful moment that I enjoyed. I'd also rather have Gohan die in a powerful moment like that, then continue to be a former shell of himself. Don't tell me to be greatful in order to silence me or I'll do the same with every single one of your complaints directed at Super or Goku.
And look at my post history, find one complaint I have written by Super or Goku.
Then I will be hoping for Piccolo's death for you then.Beyond wrote:

The fact that you think it's okay to try and silence someone's opinion (on a forum where opinions should thrive no less ) by saying they should be grateful says a lot about your character to be honest. Also your last line is condescending as fuck from a person who's clearly invested enough in fictional characters to be spending a large amount of time discussing them.HeroR wrote:

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

It really feels like Buu is going to win his match based on the NEP, and it will probably end with Gohan stepping down to the ring and he is likely going to lose.
Zeno will only erase the participants if they find the matches boring, its an exhibition match after all and Mirai Zeno wants to be entertained.

I didn't try to silent anyone's opinion, how would that be possible if I am not a mob anyway. And yes, you should be grateful that your favorite character is still around instead of complaining that the writer's isn't kissing their butts enough. So it says a lot about my character, what's your point?kinisking wrote:The fact that you think it's okay to try and silence someone's opinion (on a forum where opinions should thrive no less ) by saying they should be grateful says a lot about your character to be honest. I am invested in the story of Dragon Ball and it's universe. The characters are part of it, but they're not the only reason I watched the show. And if you whether your character die then 'live like a caricature of their former selves', then I am doing you a favor by wishing death on them. Because it's better to die in dignity and all.

I think we already know the perfect excuse for Hit to lose to Alien.
He will fight in an environment where Tokitobashi is useless and also there is the No Killing Rule still in effect

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
You're basically telling me to shut up because I should be grateful. That argument is stupid and can be used on anything . Next time you complain about something, shut up and just be grateful you're not dead. And up until now, Gohan wasn't around. There was a huge difference between kissing their butt and how they were treating him. So no, I won't be grateful until it seems they're giving him the respect I think he deserves. It shouldn't be hard to understand why people want their characters to do good. It really shouldn't.HeroR wrote:I didn't try to silent anyone's opinion, how would that be possible if I am not a mob anyway. No, you read my comment as 'shut up because I should be grateful'. I said be grateful because you can still enjoy the character you liked in someway. Gohan may not have been around a lot, but he's still alive and could be writing into a story at any time, just like now. Once a character is dead, as in gone for good, that's it, unless it's in a flashback. No future stories, no future development, no nothing. So I have absolutely no pity towards fans who cry about their character not getting 'shine' or 'respect' or getting what they think a character 'deserves'.kinisking wrote: You're basically telling me to shut up because I should be grateful. And when have I complained about anything in Super? If I complained, it's usually about the fandom, just like now.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Yea, that's the problem with Dragon Ball: characters never dies for good. We had great scenes like Majin Vegeta's sacrifice and Piccolo's death in GT, but in the end it doesn't matter much if they're still there having screen time.Beyond wrote:I'd rather my favorite character die with some dignity than live like a caricature of their former selves.
Care to expand that?Avok wrote:...but something like his reaction to Gohan getting beat up by Cell is way too far from what we've seen so far in Super.

Like against U6 tournament has been with Bulma and Co being around?
If yes it would be strange if only U 7 brings some with them... And it would be actually nice seeing other people like king of Cabba being around there.
PS
I hope 17 family will be there as well

We still don't know the format of the full tournament or when it starts which are the most important things we need to know.

It will hold much more weight if their loved ones are still present in their universe and it's destroyed..Kishido wrote:Like against U6 tournament has been with Bulma and Co being around?

Also, the narration only let Gohan know of this huge threat, that's interesting, let's see if it goes somewhere

Gohan fans shouldnt lose hope, in the NEP Daishinkan seemed upset, probably at Buu for not taking things seriously(kinda hinting Buu might lose), if Buu loses then Gohan is definitely winning.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
U7 overall could lose this match. It's really the only battle they even can lose in this tournament since it's not the tournament proper yet.
