I was researching the moment where Vegeta tells Future Trunks everything will be okay.. still gets me.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

it should have been 10-15 episodes longer. with giving zamasu a more detailed motive and personality. the vegito fight should have at least being one episode longer and not shitty time limit. just make it so that whenever they take off one of the earrings they defused. simple. then trunks would interfere telling vegito ''thats my fight. thats my responsabilty to end him''

I honestly didn't like this arc. The fights were cool, but there are so many potholes, inconsistencies, asspulls, power scaling issues and that stupid potara retcon just bring it all down for me.

Definitely best post-Boo Saga story. Goku going ham on Black and Zamasu for killing his alternate versions of his family was great. I also loved the dynamic between Black and Zamasu. Pretty good characters.

That would be a plot hole since Elder Kai removed his earrings to give to Goku, and he didn't defused. Plus, Goku and Vegeta defused back in the Buu Saga for no real reason other than Goku guessing 'bad air'.

And Zamasu's personality and motives were very well detailed and we certainly didn't need 10 to 15 episodes more of it.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

Too many asspulls and the time travel story was far too convoluted and confusing. The ending was too openended for me as well, Trunks and his girl going to another time where everybody he knows just died in his timeline but are going to be there in this new timeline, but have no idea of Zamasu's takeover ever happening, not to mention there is another Trunks and Mai in this timeline just makes for one of the strangest endings in any arc this series has ever produced.

How anyone can be satisfied with that mess of an ending is beyond me.

Just to give my two cents:

-The ending was totally unexpected.
-Zeno deus ex machina was handled in the best way as he did not solve the problem (everyone died) and he destroyed Trunk's timeline making things worse.
-Both the antagonist and the main character lost, and the funny thing is that each of them viewed the other as the villain and shared the same objective (save the future from the bad guys spoiling it)
-The moments with Gohan and Vegeta.
-Gowasu assuming responsability in the end.
-The symbolism behind Zamasu's defeat, and Trunk's powerup.
-The fact that ep 67 just made this arc the darker and most tragic of the franchise (the future was doomed from the beginning)
-The different messages that one could get from the ending .
- How it plays with my feelings cause i'm mad because the kids died just when i got attached to them but at the same time, the fact that super took this kind of risk is worth praising.

These are pretty much my reasons of why i thought it was a great finale. It's a mess in some parts but when it delivers it's great imo.
I really miss ma boy, Black :(

The ending is actually the least of my problems with this arc. My only real complaint being that Zeno was obviously going to show up. It had been blatantly foreshadowed ages ago, no subtlety.

Yeah that's true, it was annoying. You don't know how bothered i got with that because the only think i could think is that Black was going to be god stomped and i thought that he was too badass to kick the buck in that way.
