Do we have staff for #85? I don't remember.

That shot is eerily Yamamuro-esque. I wonder who it is.

Interesting. Perhaps it's just Yokoyama clean-up or something.

I did video comparisons for episodes 5 and 25, though they were taken down from YouTube. Some shady people stole them, reuploaded, and monetised them though, so that's a thing...

I've been meaning to upload them again to another hosting site, but I haven't gotten around to it.

I should probably make a comprehensive guide at some point, though maybe Psykomatik should since he goes far more in-depth than I have the time or patience for.
Yeah I think I've seen that video before, though not on your channel. Someone else sent me this yesterday:viewtopic.php?f=25&t=32434&p=1180933&hi ... y#p1180933

Nice to see that they fixed a lot of drawing errors. I think the animation movements during the Black arc were pretty fluid. Only thing that was bad at times were the drawings. Hopefully they fixed some there as well.

Looks like the preview for ep 85 is unfinished once again just like the Gohan vs Lavender preview with no filters and thick lines.

I like it! I'm guessing it's a 2nd Key Animator or maybe Sakawaki is more talented than we thought. I think I might go back through the few episodes he's worked on and see if I can see anything like this. Of course it could always be a new supervisor or animator. I'm certainly very interested in seeing the NEP.

EDIT:Thinking about it, it might not be worth looking at 68 and 74, since those episodes are dominated by Tsuji and Ono, so if Sakawki's style differs from Ono's it might not be visible in those episodes.

Could it be Karasawa?! He has a Yamamuro-esque style.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

No, it's absolutely not Karasawa. Karasawa is much more angular than that.

With all due respect, isn't it from episode 75? I remember seeing a shot like this, when Goku and Kuririn goes to Kame House...

Similar, but the shot in 75 is not nearly as good:

Oh thanks, i didn't have the episode so i wasn't sure!

Yeah, i'm liking the fact that the hair are moving on that episode 85's pic. That's not the case in 75!

I wonder who did the April Fools art for Super, not to have another page of Yamamuro bashing, but it's sad how it's better than Yamamuro's stuff.

It'd be awesome if this was actually Yamamuro and he's finally changing his noses. I doubt it's him though, there's even indented cheek shading on Tenshinhan and the Grand Priest. I'd guess it's one of the Heroes artists.

Keep in mind the filter on Earth is different to other places. Maybe they corrected it a little.

It's the promo artist I always go on about. He does a load of the Dokkan Battle cards.

For the most part, they're all still the original Yamamuro drawings, but the alterations he made are really nice.

Primarily noses and shading, but he slightly arched Gohan's eyes, and as you said, added indented cheek shading to Tenshinhan.

I don't see it. Karasawa's ears and eyes are much different than that

I hope Shimanuki becomes a little more consistent with his front on noses. A lot of times he draws Goku's nose like this;
Image
And it's really not very good looking, but then he'll also draw noses like this;
Image
Which while not perfect is a much better nose than the first image.
Taking this nose, squishing it a bit and putting it on the first image actually looks pretty good;
Image
Either way I hope Shimanuki doesn't show up again until episode 90 at the earliest, he's getting so damn close to his old style and I think one or two more episodes where he has 7 or more weeks would be really beneficial to the growth of his art.

This shot looks great, a rare thing considering how often Goku looks weird in Super.
