Since he can get eleventy billion times stronger with four months of training, we can assume that in the regular Universe he accidentally trained by getting out of his chair slightly more often.

. Now that would be awesome.

I thought it was obvious but sure:
rereboy usually defends Multiverse a lot in this thread (he explained his reasons in this
post), The power levels are messed in this special and I'm not seeing him defending this, that's what I meant.
Again with this erroneous notion that I
defend DBM... Like I said multiple times before, I don't
defend DBM, I just point out the exaggerated criticism and bashing that, unfortunately, pops up very often.
Regarding the inconsistency in power in this special, I agree that that it's inconsistent like I've already pointed out, and, even though we can force an explanation, the writers really should have done a better job at that front since it would be easy to do so (they could just have Goku not struggle against the Ginyus and the rest would be explained with the added time to train and his will to avenge his friends).
Furthermore, I don't think anyone has gone overboard with their criticism regarding this aspect of the special so I didn't even think to say more than I've already have. Fair is fair. Although, saying "Salagir lost his mind" is exaggerated/bashing.
