Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Oh... My... God... Why they are dragging this arc so much? How many months are we stuck in this already? This all is getting dull.
Also that would be the perfect opportunity for the manga introduce Kaioken + SSJB (not a 10x increase, a simple 2x would be fine), but they prefer Goku to pull something out of nowhere like "100% Perfected Super Saiyan Blue"?
Man, what a mess...

I think this is the 12th chapter so a year and we still have more chapters to get through. I guess it's better than it being rushed like the anime.Noah wrote:Oh... My... God... Why they are dragging this arc so much? How many months are we stuck in this already? This all is getting dull.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

10 months. Future Trunks saga started in July 2016 too. Almost one year and we still don't see its end. It's already dull.Noah wrote:Oh... My... God... Why they are dragging this arc so much? How many months are we stuck in this already? This all is getting dull.

I can't imagine The TOP arc in the manga being anything but a saiyan wankfest at this point. I can't stand it. I'll give it credit for being different though.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
The anime wasn't rushed, specially in this arc. Some may feel that they dragged a little the mystery between Black and Zamasu, but I think that was a good thing. The manga has no need to go full on details and extend this arc more than it should as opposed to what was done in the past arcs.sintzu wrote:I think this is the 12th chapter so a year and we still have more chapters to get through. Indeed it is. Thanks for the information.Grimlock wrote:10 months. Future Trunks saga started in July 2016 too. Almost one year and we still don't see its end. It's already dull.

Basically, Goku now has Toei's SSB. This chapter sounds like one huge asspull, not a fan so far.
I'll wait until the full release before I condemn it, but this is as bad as the anime asspulls right now

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Vegeta didn't make his SSJ2 multiplier greater. He just raised his overall strength in the heat of the moment against Beerus. Much like what Gohan and Oob did. Plus, Future Trunks didn't increase the multiplier of SSJ2. He just tapped into more power within the form. Much like how Goku and Gohan made their SSJ forms stronger without necessarily increasing its multiplier.I know that, but we are not talking about this. Future Trunks & Vegeta made their SS2 multipliers bigger, which is something no one has done before. So far, this is SS2 exclusive.
But it's still a "Rage Boost" on the basis that, just like in the movie where Vegeta was a SSJ when the moment occured, it temporarily raised his strength exponentially so that he could combat an opponent much stronger than him."Rage boost" is a fan-term, and Vegeta's rage boost was never compared to Gohan's or Oob's.
SSJB only drains stamina and strength when you power in and out of the form. He didn't need to power down but he chose to and deliberately crippled his chances of beating Hit.SSB drains his power, so he did need to power down. Also, Vegeta hadn't decided to use SSB against Hit yet, and he wanted Cabba to experience the power of SSB, not just see it in a fight, which is why he defeated him with it.

So did Toriyama just end his script with "Just be random, make up something to end it *laughs*"? Because both versions have asspull endings that weren't foreshadowed in the slightest lol
I do like the portal punches and Zamasu going HAM on Vegeta. Just everything after is....wtf

I like the fact the manga isn't rushing the ending like the anime did, though from what I'm reading this chapter doesn't make much sense.

If Goku is not able to rival Merged Zamasu, then we do not know what level of his Power Boost after mastering the SSB form
It would still be implied if he overcame Vegeta or not ...
But it's very strange, Vegeta trains a lot on RoSaT, can switch between SSG and SSB, so Goku simply dominates the SSB form in a way that Vegeta never did? If Trunks is able to cure Vegeta, then maybe he will do the same.
I'll wait to get the translation to state it better.

But Vegeta already declined Trunks healing him claiming that it would be better if Goku fights Zamasu since they're on equal terms or at least thats how he see's it.TheSaiyanGod wrote:If Goku is not able to rival Merged Zamasu, then we do not know what level of his Power Boost after mastering the SSB form

Even Zamasu himself says that the Saiyans overestimate their power right?
This is just one way of using all the power of SSB without wear. It's not supposed to have a big power boost anyway
I think you can not be sure of the Power Boost yet. It seems that Goku was only healed because of the leading role.
I also wanted Vegeta to get full control of SSB, Goku does not seem to have had any training to do this

The problem is its literally the same BS as Vegeta jobbing to black, training for half a day, and then coming back and kicking his butt.. Its so infuriating because it literally gives no thought to the methods or reasons whatsoever. Its trash work, with zero literary effort. We deserve better than to be served half backed crap.Lord Beerus wrote:It obviously a plot point in Toriyama's outline for SSJB Goku, in some capacity, to fight evenly with Megred Zamasu. It can't be avoided. Even it makes no fucking sense and throws the power scaling out of whack.Totamo wrote:the anime could have had Goku had gone ssbkkx20 and it would have made sense to as Vegeta and ssj2 trunks pushed it back. It was also only an instantLord Beerus wrote:Yeah... I'm really not digging the concept of Goku suddenly gaining the ability to master SSJB and use it fight evenly with Merged Zamasu. The anime also took the dumb and cheap route with SSJB Goku just powering up even more to overwhelm Merged Zamasu in the beam struggle. But at least they threw in the Kaioken on top of SSJB to soften the blow. Either way, this shows that in Toriyama's outline, a plot point is for Goku to suddenly become powerful enough to hold his own against Merged Zamasu. What a stupid plot point. There's no way you could have made this make any sense.
Goku is literally fighting him evenly here
I really don't care about the Goku point too much as much as I care about the overall outline not being up to snuff where even separate groups of writers cant reasonably and logically save it.
To be honest I feel like the Dragon Room was in response to them getting Toriyama's possibly-crappy half-assed outline back and realizing they can't continue on indefinitely like that.
